singing and/or playing a musical instrument. Apparently I not only have a bad voice, I am tone deaf and can’t even hear how bad I really am. I am one of those people who mouths the words in church because I am embarassed for anyone to hear my sing. On the other hand, my guy has a beautiful, rich singing voice, and he can pick up just about any instrument and play it. :::sigh:::

I suck at enjoying what I’m doing and also I suck bad at accepting that I am good enough and don’t need to be the best at everything.  No matter how hard I try I can’t enjoy most things because I’m so focused on mastering it so I can be the best.  I so wish I could learn to be carefree and to just have fun.  I also suck at being able to say screw it and be selfish, I’m a people pleaser.

Singing.  I would love just to be able to sing one song and not have everyone arounds ears bleeding.

Fixing my hair.

I can pull off a pony tail, but that’s about it.

@miss.skinner:I hear you. I’m short and busty and hippy, and I run. Though I’ve had to stop due to an injury, but I’m trying to get back in the game.

@tksjewelry: I would love to be able to sing too. I don’t know if I’m horrible or just so-so, but I am embarrassed singing in public.

I wish I could sew/quilt! Not sure if I suck as I’ve never really given it a whole-hearted try, but I’m just amazed at what people can create with some fabric and a sewing machine and wish I could do the same!

Number one thing I wish I was better at: my will. My will to exercise, my will to quit eating crap, my will to clean, my will to stop reading twilight for the 10th time and do what I was supposed to do 2 days ago before I got started again, my will to pretty much do anything I wouldn’t normally.

My number two: school. I wish I liked it and homework came easy or I had a will to study or go(see #1). I wish I really enjoyed learning in that setting and could understand why school is so good for me. I have always had a tough time with staying focused on school.

ETA: Drawing and painting. God would I LOVE LOVE LOVE to be able to do either. Especially painting. My mother water color paints and she is amazing at it. I wish I could just think of something and then splay it on a piece of paper and it would be recognizable!

would you call motivation a skill? I know how to create all kinds of different things, but I just don’t have the motivation for it. my friends are all like, “you should paint more often,”… “you should sew more often”……etc. I’m not an expert at any one thing, but I’ll never learn to be unless I practice! but I’m just not motivated!

is there a magic pill for that 😉

also, I wish I knew a bunch of songs by heart, so I could belt them out at a bar or around a piano, like they do in the old movies!
