Totally cheesy, but Titanic makes me cry everytime and not even at the part you would think. I actually start crying during the “I’m flying, Jack!” part because neither of them knows how horrible things are about to go. The musicians who continue playing and go down with the ship also make me cry.

@happilyeveraftergirl:  The Notebook and My Life…actually I’ve only ever been able to watch My Life once- too depressing for me to watch again!

There are many; these were just the ones that came immediately to mind.  I’m tremendously soft.

The Seventh Sealthe burning of the young girl may be the most haunting clip of a movie I’ve ever seen.  Scattered moments in Wild Strawberries make me tear up.

Casablanca–the singing of “La Marseilaise”

The Lion in Winter–the peerless Katharine Hepburn as Eleanor, looking into a mirror and saying, “How could her king have left her?”  I am also on the verge of tears during nearly her entire performance in Summertime, the film that softened my heart enough to convince me to take a brief visit to the city that is now my favorite in all the world, Venice.  Hepburn’s portrayal of a woman who just can’t get out of her own way has such truth to it, despite the unnaturalness of certain elements of 1950s film.
