I would say for a sit down dinner type, it would be around $1000 including tip and alcohol (2 drinks per person).

Totally depends on how many people you are having. Per head we are expecting around 75 ish.

Ours will be roughly $25 per person and we will have about 30 people there. So, about $750 for us.

Our rehearsal dinner was for 25-ish people and cost us around $1200 including a great meal, a fee for renting the whole restaurant (very small place lol) TONS of wine, tax and tip.

The meal was $35 CAD/person and we bought around $170 worth of wine (the restaurant was bring your own wine) and the exclusive fee was $100.

Not sure about average, because there are so many ways to do them, and depends a lot on how many people you invite.  Ours will be about 35 people, casual BBQ get together.  Wedding party and spouses, our parents, flower girls and their familes.  We are aiming for $300-$400 max on food and beverage.  Steaks, salads, casual cookout dining at the hall where our reception is, they have a massive outdoor grill we can use and a catering kitchen.

It totally depends on what you want to do. There are girls on here that had RD’s that cost several thousand dollars and others that got away with it for a few hundred. I can only comment on our Rehearsal Dinner but it cost about $600 for 25 people. We had a nice sit down dinner at one of our favorite Mexican restaurants with an open bar. This came out to approx. $25 p/person so for a party of your size, we would have been looking at around $1000-$1250.

Ours is at my parents’ house – my FI’s brother offered to cook, so he and I are going to the grocery store a few days before to get all the food.  We’ll pay a few of my sister’s friends to serve the food and refresh drinks.  I know it will be less than $500, my hope is in the $300 ball park.

ours will be $1,200 for 45-50 people at a restaurant… sit down, plated and drinks/dessert.

The Rehearsal Dinner was our splurge food wise, since we are doing a BBQ buffett for the reception

Ours was about 12-14 people, we went to DHs favorite Irish pub. We ate burgers and onion rings and drank beer and Father-In-Law paid the bill. So… a couple hundred bucks? It was awesome.

We rented a couple lanes at an upscale bowling alley and had awesome pizza, fries, salad and soft drinks… it was 15 of us for around $350. Everyone loved it. Last bit of fun Darling Husband and I had together before being married.

we’re not doing anything fancy. since the reception is going to be at my house, we’re going to be doing a lot of setting up the day/night before. we’ll probably just get some pizzas and have a little pizza party at home. everyone can slave away and eat at the same time, haha.

Fiance parents are paying for the Rehearsal Dinner and then a welcome cocktail reception immediately following. I believe the costs are in the $30-$40 range for an entree, plus apps and a salad. They are also providing for beer and wine so I’d imagine a couple thousand. However, they are choosing to have it at a restaurant. I’ve also been to a Rehearsal Dinner that probably cost $2/person and it was just as much fun!
