Best: Homemade baklava. I still remember how delicious it was. Though it had nuts so Fiance couldn’t eat it.

Worst: personalized glass etched coasters with the bride and groom’s names and wedding date on them. No.

I’ve been to many weddings and only one has had a favor- they were koozies. We kept them, but only because we have a ton of koozies and we have people over fairly frequently and it is easier to pass out koozies when people are drinking beer than chase people around with coasters lol. In our living room and dining room, every surface you can set things on is wood and I’ll be damned if we end up with rings!

I definitely didn’t miss favors at the other weddings- in fact, I only noticed the lack of them at the other weddings right now as I was trying to recall favors at the weddings I’ve been to in the last 5 years. We gave Republic of Tea loose leaf tea and had none left at the end of the night, even though we had a few no-shows!

MrsElle :  Worst those jordan almonds because I’m allergic. Best is any plant. I would also hate coasters.  🙂

janna121215 :  Oh yes! I would like coasters if they didn’t have other peoples names on them.

morgyporgy :  Nope these are totally cool and I want some! 🙂 We’re doing a candy bar and giving everyone a mini succulent but I think people will hate that more, but its too late to go back now. 🙁

Best I’ve received is mini bottles of champagne. Worst I’ve received is homemade DIY smores ingredients, didn’t even take mine home.

Everyone seems to not like coasters, but I got coasters as a favor last summer and love them. The grooms’ grandmother quilted them. No personalization. There’s were four different patterns that matched the wedding’s color scheme and/or theme.

Best: Anything edible.

Worst: Succulents. I didn’t come to your wedding to shoulder the responsibility of a living thing. I didn’t ask for that! I killed a cactus once.

I don’t remember most of them. One that sticks out was a espresso cup and saucer with a chocolate in it.

My Future Mother-In-Law wants to give chocolate coins… can I add something like a key bottle opener or cookies to add some substance?

Worst: Anything monogrammed with the couples names & weddings dates. I have no use for it.

Best: A “fall survival kit” at a southern fall themed wedding. There was a huge gift bag filled with a cozy throw blanket, some skewers and ingrediants for Smores, some Starbucks instant Pumpkin Spice coffee, a mug, hot chocolate and marshmellows, and a tiny bottle of Bourbon that shared the brides maiden name. The wedding was smaller (about 40 people) so they spent a little more on the favors obviously but it was very unique and fun.

Worst: bracelets handmade by the groom. Also got shot glasses with the wedding logo at that wedding. And a bowl from the water blessing. Luckily we got a swag bag (also with the logo) to take all this home in.

Best: hand painted Italian ceramic wine stoppers.

Not a wedding I attended but a friend’s sister had bowls of fish for her centrepiece and the favours were you could take a fish.

Any verdicts on our plans would be lovely, we have a minimum spend in our bar/restaurant/brewery hire so to ensure we cover it we are going to purchase their glassware, fairly plain with the company logo on, so everyone gets a half pint beer tulip glass or a half pint tankard and we are going to put home made chocolate truffles to ohs great aunt (who has passed) recipe as a wee nod to her (also these truffles are super good and oh is a great baker)

No monogramming or engraving
