worst: a tea candle wrapped in tulle( seriously how cheap can you get? i can buy a 100 bag of those things for a buck at the dollar store) and bubbles as favors!( were doing bubbles but they ARE NOT doubleing as our favors) little photo book made our of a match book ( it looked really cheap and it got thrown away as soon as i got home)

best: candy! eat it there…nothing extra to take home….

our favors are birdseed heartshaped feeders…guest can take them home, hang them outside and forget em. any that arnt taken home ill bring back and hang them in our tree..nothing goes to waste

Best: Gingerbread men and women with the guests name written on them. They were our placecards! GENIUS! I also loved the almond shortbread cookies by best friend made for her wedding. I couldn’t believe when I was helping clean the venue how many guests left those little boxes of cookies behind. I took about 9 of them and ate them on a bus ride the next day.

Worst: Candles and the dreaded jordan almonds.

Our favours will be homemade cookie bar and having christmas crackers as place cards (we are fully aware that people will likely throw out what the cracker contains, but the pictures of guests wearing those ridiculous paper crowns will be priceless.)

Worst: They expected the bubbles to ba favors….Seriously? Not personalized bubbles, but the bubbles you blow as they are leaving. And nothing

Best: Have none, the only wedding I have been to gave bubbles, the rest gave none

Best: a toss up between a small picture frame (doubled as seating card), and a seed card. Still have the picture frame on display, and I’m growing thyme, basil, and rosemary from that seed card right now.

Worst: A tasteless, decorated cookie. It was slightly cute, but it tasted like cardboard.

best: candy bar – really anything I can eat is good. It’s always nice to have a treat for the ride home

worst: those stupid almonds, personalized vase with their names and wedding date – those got donated asap

We’ll be having a photo booth and giving away cookies

The best favor I ever got was my Betta fish Ben who was our table centerpiece.

The worst favor would probably have to be personalized shot glass or afterdinner mints that my cousin’s children ate all of before dinner

MrsElle:  The best favors have always been edible, delicious, and portable!

Worst: those almonds…they taste terrible! Oh also a weird statue…it was so strange looking that we weren’t sure what it was supposed to be!

Best – a HUGE carmel apple with all the fixings.

Worst – a galaxy phone case with the couples picture & wedding date blown up on it…It did not fit anyone’s phones. Big waste of $$$. Second would have to be coasters.

Best – chocolate covered pretzels with a small liquor bottle

Worste: nothing, cheap chocolate or personalized mugs, glasses etc.

Best advice I was given, think of what you would want. Don’t be cheap. Edible is always the way to go. I’m hoping our favors become people’s favorites!

worst:

anything edible… its not really a gift is it, feeding your guests is common curtousy plus with allergies its very dangerous (hyper aware of this because I often get ‘poisoned’ at events where people dont consider others requirements)

bubbles/wands/confetti… again NOT a gift but rather a job you want them to do

charity donations… NOT a gift if its to YOUR charity, plus its rude to brag about giving to charity

best… perty much any gift because I appreciate the effort – its RUDE to slag of, return or throw out a gift and im always shocked people would have the gall to admit to being that person

I have to admit though I am midly amused by the phrase ‘fancy pyramid teabags’… I never knew PG Tips was fancy

Best favor I’ve ever had:  bottle of wine

Worst favor: cheap, China-made small cage with ceramic doves sitting on a hot pink, satin pillow.  It was so vivid I couldn’t forget.  No clue what the fuck I was suppose to do with it.
