I went to a wedding in Montana years ago, and long after that marriage ended, I’m STILL talking about their incredible huckleberry wedding cake! It was that fantastic.

simple white cake with raspberry filling.  There are a lot with multiple flavors and fillings but I think simple and classic is really great for a wedding cake.  I did that plus another type which was coconut cake and lemon filling.  White +raspberry was amazing and it was still the best cake I have ever had.  I would kill for her recipes/techniques.

TGold:  Our cake had three tiers all different.  First was oreo.  Vanilla cake with oreo cream layers.  Then Lemon cake with blueberries and raspberries.  Last was hawaiian pineapple cake with coconut marscpone cream.  All coated in real butter cream frosting. 🙂

Omg, our bottom tier was amaretto cake with raspberry filling. Every time there is an occasion for cake we get that because so many people love it.

We have a four tier wedding cake with two flavors:

Peach Chiffon with Bavarian Cream & French Vanilla with Strawberry Filling

And the groom’s cake is Banana Foster with Bailey’s Chocolate Mousse.

TGold:  my cousin had a cake that had alternating layers of orange cake that was infused with cheesecake with a cheesecake filling (it was supposed to be like an orange dreamsicle!) and pumpkin spice with cream cheese (or cheesecake, can’t remember) filling. They were both amazing!!

After reading all of these posts i’m dying to have some cake, pretty much any of the cakes you’ve described. We ordered white vanilla bean cake with salted caramel mousse filling.

Our engagement party cake was tahitian lime, vanilla bean and coconut chiffon cake, with toasted coconut buttercream filling. It tasted like summer on a plate.

TGold:  This really rich chocolate cake with white chocolate frosting and hazelnut-chocolate filling. It was heaven.
