I have so much flexibility as long as my work gets done – I get to work at home 50% of the time and have flex hours. My job is also really secure in terms of being stable without there ever being much risk of being laid off.

I basically read for a living, which can sometimes be boring, but sometimes can also be really interesting.

Sometimes I get to pet animals. I’ve gotten to hold a baby snow leopard, two baby jaguars, a baby coati, a baby fennec fox, a baby serval, and I’ve pet a baby impala. There are others too, but those are just off the top of my head. Baby flamingos are super soft! I also got to see a giraffe being born. That kind of stuff is really fun.

Flexible time.  I can show up anytime (within reason) between 5 and 10am and put in my 8 hours.  And work extra hours one day to take off another day.  Pay is decent, it’s secure and medical/dental is decent.

Umm the weekends (that I spend away from work), LOL!  Seriously, I have a great boss! And the overall culture of the company is really awesome.

I get to buy extra vacation time if I want. Pay is good, and they’re flexible with hours.

I get to help save lives… that’s pretty cool.  I also get to educate, handhold through rough times, hold babies, and wipe the faces of dying older people.  I am an ER nurse and I love it.  The pay is crap, nowhere near what it should be – and the working conditions can be just as awful.  The schedule is awesome though – very flexible.

Holidays off, tons of vacation and sick time, great benefits, not much stress, and a lot advancement potential.

The hours (M-F, 7-6)! And getting to cuddle with babies!

Atleast, those were the best points before I got pregnant and quit!

The pay and management style. Our managers and senior engineers are always available and constantly remind us that all and any new ideas should be discussed. It’s awesome being an an office that welcomes new ideas rather than a “this is how we’ve always done it” atmosphere.

Freedom! I’m in and out of nursing homes all day, and when it’s slow I go shopping, go to the park, eat…whatever I want to do. I love my boss. I love most of my co-workers. I drive a company vehicle and the pay’s good. Plus, it’s pretty rewarding. I like spending time with the elderly and visiting. 🙂

ETA: I also make the schedule, so I never have to ask if I can have time off. Yup, dream job.
