Mojitos are my absolute fav’s!  But not very classy looking!  I’d go for some sort of champagne cocktail, something like this…

Ritzy Raspberry Revelry (Hemingway Bar, Hotel Ritz, Paris)

Pour into a champagne flute 2/3 ounce vodka in which raspberries have macerated for at least 10 days. Finish with champagne.

Garnish with a red rose.

We did a sunset martini, and it was amazing!!!

  • 1 3/4 ounces raspberry vodka
  • 2 ounces pineapple juice
  • Dash Triple Sec
  • Dash grenadine

We have yet to be able to recreate it at home, but our bartender worked her magic on it!! All of our guests loved it!

It all sounds good. I love mojitos, so I would be happy to see that option.

I was thinking of doing one that incorporates “our” last name. Masters Mango Mojito or Martini… we’ll see what happens.

we are having a few signature cocktails.  champagne and hibiscus flowers immediately after the ceremony.  the hibiscus flowers open up with the bubbles of the champagne and the natural syrup from them make the champagne pink.  the hibiscus are edible (taste like cranberries).  for the cocktail hour we will be having mojitos and margaritas (along with full open bar).  after dinner we will be offering high end tequilas.

We did regular mojitos and fresh strawberry mojitos. The strawberry mojitos were super popular.

@kimbee23:  That martini sounds amazing! The only martinis I have tried have been WAY too strong for me to drink, but this one sounds delicious. I might have to make that for happy hour tonight 😀

mojitos are my favorite!! i dont mean to threadjack… but to those of you who had mojitos as your signature… how did you do it?

were they made to order?

or was it all premixed?

or was it partially prepared? (ie the mint and sugar muddled ready to go, the lime ready to go, then add the soda and liquor)

would it be weird to have a mojito for a late september “fall-ish” wedding?

@September29:  Would be ok if you picked a fall flavor.

Or you could do an alcohol/liquer spiked coffee drink… more fallish in my opinion

I am not a fan of rum, so we opted for a made-from-scratch margarita (no premade mix, using cointreau and fresh squeezed limes and oranges) becasue those are my absolute favorite (not to mention Fiance is famous in my family for his homemade margaritas that have played a pivotal role in lots of drunken shenanigans during 4th of july parties at our beach house!).  To please the crowd, we’re also offering a bourbon cocktail, but that one isn’t fully decided on.  We’ll also have beer and wine, so hopefully those “signature cocktails” will satisfy most!

Our signature cocktail with be something with rum and juice.  We haven’t decided what exactly though.
