Where was it and why was it so awesome?
Mine was a three week trip to Paris and then Italy. It was right after the Bar exam, so anything other than studying was AMAZING! Plus, it was my first trip to Europe.
What was your favorite trip?

My best vacation was actually not meant to be my best vacation (I’ve gone to more exotic places and stayed at nicer hotels, etc.):
Hyatt, Incline Village, Lake Tahoe, Nevada.
We went for a week stay over the 4th of July this past summer.
First, the Hyatt upgraded us to a suite that was 1700 square feet! Second, the Hyatt gave us Regency Club passes (free food and drinks) for the week. Third, for the first time in 30 years, the ski resorts opened their mountains for that weekend only. So, in 95* weather my kids and I snowboarded Alpine and Squaw. Fourth, we also laid out by the lake, we boated and wake-boarded and we swam in the pool. Fifth, we watched a lovely fireworks display from lounge chairs on the beach (with an open bar and a cocktail waitress). Sixth, Fiance and I hired a babysitter to come to our room each night so we could go down to the casino and gamble together (I won $600 the first night!). Seventh, we cooked smores by a fire with the kids and sipped wine in the spa alone.
My list can go on and on. It was supposed to be a cheap vacation and it was. But it wound up being the most relaxing, enjoyable vacation we have ever taken.

I think I have a tie… I loved sightseeing in Europe (Italy and Greece), but I also really loved relaxing on the beach at Couples Swept Away in Jamaica. 🙂

The best vacation to date for us has to be our 4 week trip to New Zealand and Austrailia. NZ was simply so beautiful and so relaxing. It was great just roaming around and exploring the south island.

My honeymoon, not necessarily just because it was my honeymoon, but because we loved Anguilla so much. We were also at a point where we could spend kind of what we wanted on food and drinks with no worries. I just loved every moment of that trip.
Runners up would be South Beach/Miami last March and a trip to Vegas with my sister a few years back.

Our honeymoon! We went to Moorea and Bora Bora. It was breathtakingly beautiful.

Our honeymoon in Playa del Carmen without question. I’ve been to quite a few countries but those felt more like excursions. The honeymoon was just so relaxing.

I don’t know that I can pick just one. All of my top trips have been so different that it is hard to compare.
These are my top 3 (in no particular order):
- Costa Rica
- Alaskan cruise
- Summer in SE Asia (primarily Singapore with side trips to Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, and Australia)

Without a doubt it was Portugal summer 2010 – that was the best ever, that’s where Fiance proposed hehe… I’ll never forget that trip 😀

Oh man that’s a tough one, but I’m going to have to go with Japan! My husband (then boyfriend) surprised me with a trip to Japan for Christmas one year. It was my #1 item on my bucket list!!

we both love to travel and i travelled a lot before meeting my fi. we enjoyed our trip to london and paris, our long road trip throughout most of north america (rocky mountains, monument valley, grand canyon, down into mexico through the mountains and then east all the way to the yucatan) but i still think that the most wonderful vacation was our first vacation together. 2 weeks in the mayan, upgraded ocean front room with all of the perks. it was the least ‘thrilling or exciting’ trip but we enjoyed just spending that time alone together. we had only been dating for 3-4 months and had just gotten engaged before our trip. it will always hold a special memory.
