Well, our wedding will be in St. Louis, so large city rather than a smaller rural town where things might not be as pricey. I find out that my Fiance thinks a DJ is going to cost us about $100-$200. REALLY? really??

I’ve been hounding him about saving money and how we’re not going to be able to afford anything so I was shocked. I had to have a sit-down with him to explain expenses, LOL.

Boys are funny.

Then I heard him talking on the phone with his mom, saying, “oh mom, this isn’t going to be trashy, it’s going to be really swank, we’re spending like $4000!!!!”

I was like, “um, WHAT?! Honey! We’ll be LUCKY if we can get everything for $10K!”

then he just stood there like, “wait…what?” *sigh*…men are silly. they have NO idea.

I’m originally from Chicago and my bf said if we get married in Chicago, we should just order deep dish pizza. Gotta be honest, I almost considered it.

OMG! MY Fiance WANTED TO DO A HOT POCKET BUFFET! I just shot him “the look” and that stoped it pretty fast…  But in all honestly my fi has been an amazing help through the whole process.

@romanticantics…wearing clogs…whahah i am dutch and there is no way that i will be wearing those things;)

My story is more cute then strange, but funny! A couple of weeks ago we came to the our “transport” conversation. From all the cars he choose a stretch limo….uhmmm Hummer! But the way he looked when he told me about the car… it was almost as he was the bride and was looking for a dress…fantastic! Only for that look on his face i said, okay! (we are having a vintage-romantich style wedding… at least i am and he is fine with it ;0) So can you imagine have a wedding i a beautiful land house, with a stretch limo Hummer in front of it hihih

Well, it wasn’t funny at the time, but it sure was rediculous…. After we got engaged & set our wedding (low) budget, we sat down & wrote 3 different scenerios/guestlists for our wedding: 1) pick around 40-50 of our closest family & friends & have the reception in a nice restaurant/banquet. 2) Invite everyone we know & have it in our backyard, meaning DIY everything. 3) Have a luxe island wedding (immediate) family-only where everything was taken care of for us, plus honeymoon.

It was a no-brainer for me- 1 or 3 because the stress of organizing dinner/decor for 100+ people at our house was just too much to fathom for me, plus I wanted a honeymoon!  BUT I entertained all three ideas to get his input… he immediately picked the backyard option! I really couldn’t hold it against him & he had no idea how much work would need to be put into it (he actually asked if we REALLY needed tables for everyone to sit at the same time lol). In the end, we decided we couldn’t pick & choose between all our friends and family for the smaller banquet wedding- we’re doing the family only/honeymoon, and he eventually agreed with me after taking everything into consideration- thank god Smile
