The greatest concert I’ve ever been to was for a band called Punch Brothers in Seattle in November 2012. They’re my favorite band, so I arrived early so I got to hear their sound check through a back door, I was front and center for the entire show, they played all of my favorite songs, and best of all… I met my SO at that show! We started dating three days later, did long distance for ten months, and two years later, the rest is history! 🙂

Plus, they released a new album in January so they’re touring for the first time since I last saw them! We have tickets for both the Portland and Seattle show this time, and I’m so excited to be going back to where it all began.

I saw Stevie Wonder at a free outdoor jazz festival. It was absolutely the most incredible musical experience I ever had.

Radiohead, the first time I saw them, on their In Rainbows tour. No question. It was SUCH an amazing experience (all time favorite band, so I’m a bit partial).

I love live music though, and I’ve been lucky to have had some really great concert experiences. Can’t wait for concert season–already have Wilco and Alt-J lined up!

George Strait’s last tour performance in Dallas (with lots of special guests). We had tickets through work in a box suite and it was amazing. Crowded and traffic was terrible, but the concert was something I will never forget.

missythename:  DH and I have been to several.  Keith Urban was one of my favourites, Bruce Springsteen was probably the best concert we’ve been to.

Projekt Revolution in 2007. It included Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance, Taking Back Sunday and Him.  It also included several other bands that were popular at that time.  I was 17 so of course I was in love!!!

I saw Run DMC open for Aerosmith right before Jam Master Jay died which was dope.

But, my husband and I flew to New York to see the Rolling Stones a couple years ago. We spent an insane amount of money on our floor seats but it was so worth it, he had never seen them before and we got to spend a couple of days shopping and eating too.

We see a lot of concerts but, those two standout to me.

Erykah Badu was amazing. She performed her entire 1st album. The place was packed.

missythename:  Darling Husband and I saw Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros at bonnaroo in 2013. After the main show the band moved to one of the smaller stages for an impromptu second conerct.  The band asked the audience what to play.  At one point they had a random guy from the audience join them playing his harmonica.  They’re already my favorite band but seeing them live and in that setting was more than I could have ever hoped for!

Front row, center for The Postal Service in Atlanta in 2013.  All time favorite band.  Shook Jenny’s hand and got her guitar pick at the end.  Life complete.

Billy Joel at the Hollywood Bowl.  DH’s friend comped us seats in garden boxes.  It was an amazing venue and concert. Flew out to LA and made a vacation out of it because he offered us these tickets.

SeaOfLove:  SOAD kills it live!

Hmmm.. I enjoyed the Beach Boys 50th anniversary tour (one of my all time favorite bands and my first concert with my fiance). Five Finder Death Punch and Staind always kills it!

If I could see anyone it would be Queen when Friddie was alive. I’d die! lol But since that can’t happen, I would love to see Bruno Mars and the Rolling Stones.
