@Olive12: I think you should get them resized. If you can’t wear them, they’re too small. A lot of pictures I’ve seen of people’s rings here make me think that it’s very normal to have your rings too small, though…people post pictures and there’s like…a pile of flesh on either side of the ring. That doesn’t look comfortable!

I take of my e-ring off from time to time. My wedding band has been on since he put it on my finger, I have taken it off only a handful of times and only for a few minutes tops.

11 days, when it was in the shop. I wore a plain 2mm band while it was gone, and when I put it back on it looked sooo blingy and gorgeous. I was counting the days until I had it back.

3 days to get my e-ring and band soldered together

@Olive12: When I couldn’t wear my ring for clinicals, i wore them on a necklace but if we are going with wearing them on a finger, 2 years I didn’t wear it on my finger except during break weeks when I came home from school

Two days? I don’t wear my rings around the house, so if I have two days off in a row and don’t go anywhere, my finger goes naked.

I went a couple of days because I was sick and was bedridden. No need to get my snot all over my ring when I was blowing my nose.

I haven’t had mine off for more than an hour since I got it. Yay! Almost a year now. I can only imagine when I have to have work on it, I’ll feel naked :(. Glad yours is coming back to you tonight! And even better with your DH!
@peachacid: I have a “pile of flesh” around my rings 🙂 Maybe not as bad as what you are thinking, but a definite ring muffin top. But without it I couldn’t wear rings! The part where the ring ends is the fattest part of my finger, my knuckles aren’t. So if they aren’t snug enough to stay on where there is flesh, they will fall off! I can’t wear rings on my pinky or index fingers because they just taper 🙁 and anything tight enough to stay would cut off circulation. On my middle and ring fingers the flesh is a little wider just above where the finger connects to my hand so they can stay on, closer to the palm there is a natural indent (I think it’s made for rings!). Maybe a 1mm band single ring wouldn’t show any ring muffin top but that’s it. My mom’s whole family is pretty much the same way and my best friend has the same issue. Hope this gives you some insight as to why you see those muffin tops with rings! Oh, and it’s not weight related, though obviously with enough weight gain the fingers will get bigger, it was first an issue for me with rings when I was a teen and weighed 115lb at 5’5″.

Several times for a day or two, most recently when I was undergoing outpatient surgery so I took off my rings and didn’t put them on again until the next day as I was really groggy. I wore only my wedding band for maybe two weeks when the diamond in my engagement ring was loose. I felt weird without my engagement ring, but I at least still had my wedding band.

About 3 months, when I was pregnant and my fingers swelled. I didn’t wear a stand-in for most of that time, I just wore my rings on a necklace.

A few weeks when I had to send it back to the company to get it sized down. Since it’s an online company, I had to send it through the mail. Luckily there were no problems with shipping it.

Personally I have never taken off my wedding band (tungsten , this bad boy can handle anything! ) but the longest I have not worn my e-ring has been about 3 weeks when I had to send it out to be resized. Worst 3 weeks ever!!
