My wedding is in one week & I had probably my most stressfull planning day today. I was emailing, calling etc. with the rental place & venue and finally had my first realy breakdown over this thing. I had a moment where I thought I wasn’t going to be able to get the tables & chairs set up and I was in tears!! Then I get a text from my friend (who’s not in the wedding or anything) and she said “Are you going to have any shade at the wedding? Like a tent or something?”. Are you kidding me!!? Gee, no, I hadn’t thought of that! I’ve been planning this thing for a year and knew it could be a hot day outdoors but the thought of shade never occured to me!! OK, I can laugh about that now, but that was so random to me!!! In that moment I just wanted to tell her she’d be lucky if she has a place to sit! Fortunately, everything worked out. Rentals will be delivered, tents and all!!

If I’m pregnant, and if I would accept baby things.
I’m not pregnant, and I’m not even engaged yet! What?? lol I have a 10 month old brother that people think is mine, but that’s it haha

@agdluvstx: Are you serious!!? That is so strange! I can’t tell you how many people have told me to try to hurry up and get pregnant before the wedding. I’m 35 so everyone thinks I need to jump on it. Apparently they’re in more of a hurry than I am. Sorry friends, I already bought the dress!!

I was getting my nails done with my mom and sister before the wedding. The youngest girl in the nail salon was doing mine, and she was asking me questions about the wedding – what are your colors? What does your dress look like? How did you meet the groom, etc. Then she asked …
How are you paying for the wedding?
I think I said “with money” or something equally unfortunately snotty, and then struck up a conversation with my family. I was floored.

@Amayansong: Yeahh.. I’m 19! I can’t imagine being pregnant! I mean, I would love nothing more than to start a family, but I’m in college and I need to finish my degree! Even after our wedding Boyfriend or Best Friend and I agreed to wait three years minimum… I have so much time!

@confettiegg2000: I think with money is the perfect answer for something like that. How is that anyone else’s business? Especially with your family right there! That could get akward in some situations.
@agdluvstx: I think that’s a good way to go. Definitely no need to rush into it. Finish school & enjoy your time together 😉

@Amayansong: This isn’t exactly asked, but today I was talking to a work friend about how some of my family members just told my mom they couldn’t come now after they rsvp’d yes and I turned in my final numbers to the caterer and I was venting to my friend, telling her how if I couldn’t change it, it would cost me a lot. and she was like yeah what is it like $12 a person? I was like lol umm…..no I WISH it was that much!

@Amayansong: I can’t believe someone asked you that! Its so random! It would probably annoy me because I would take it as if they were already trying to complain about something at my wedding.
@confettiegg2000: I love the way you responded to that! Why would someone even think thats appropriate to ask??

People ask how we are paying for our venue which is pricey. It doesnt bother me though but I wonder what makes people think it is ok to ask that type of question.

-who else is coming to the wedding? (really? is that what determines whether or not you come?)
-are you having an open bar? (we are, but again, is that what determines whether or not you come?)
-are you having a sit-down wedding? (I’ve had this question more than once and I still don’t really understand…as opposed to a standing wedding?)

“so after the wedding, are you moving to jamaica?”
really? why would i do that? lol and why would he? no. no we’re not.

@jasn: I think they mean a sit down dinner? But maybe some people have outdoor weddings and don’t rent chairs?

- Wedding: May 2014 - Smithfield Center
– Are you pregnant?
– Why are you getting married so soon? (We’ve been engaged 8 months…we’ve been together 5 years.)
– From my Maid/Matron of Honor: Why can’t one of the colors be purple? Purple is my favorite color.
– Where are you going to live when you’re married? (SOMEWHERE WITH A ROOF?!?!)

@jasn: I went to a standing wedding a couple of months ago. I was in heels, and my feet got very sore! Whether they will be sitting down or standing up during the ceremony is something that guests need to know so that they can decide what to wear.

“Are you actually going to make it to the altar?”
Seriously, wtf. And this has been more than one person. It’s not like I have a history of leaving grooms at the altar. This is my first (and hopefully only, of course!) engagement! What on earth makes people think they can ask me if I’m going to leave the groom hanging on our wedding day?!
