What's the most 'WTF' thing someone has ever said to you?

Oh and omg another one! At the car dealership signing for our car, the finance guy tried to make a joke and was like, “ohhh so you got a black car. Are you ready to be a slave driver?” My Husband and I were like WHAT?!? We thought we were going crazy and he didn’t acknowledge how offensive it was or our expressions. We both thought we misheard it until later we discussed and realized we both heard the same thing. I complained and left a horrible review for the dealership. Looking back I wish we hadn’t gone through with the purchase but like I said, we weren’t sure what he said and didn’t want to accuse him right off the bat

feeshpup :  good for you for leaving!

Did she ever reach out to you and apologize?  Did she have *anything* to say for herself??

I quit my job without another lined up. One of my male coworkers said, “So is your sugar daddy going to take care of you now?”

And of course the time I wore my glasses to work. Different male coworker: “Wow you look like a sexy librarian!”

Male dominated industry. *Eyerolls*

amanda1988 :  yes! She wanted to hang out again and acted like she never said anything. Like she either doesn’t remember or doesn’t think it was offensive.

feeshpup :

WTF was that?

Not only obnoxious, but completely ignorant.  Race mixing actually strengthens the collective gene pool.  It’s called “hybrid vigor”.  It has to do with ancestry—the further apart your ancestors were, the better.

I was 9 months pregnant, due in a couple days. It was end of July and there was a heat wave, so I tell my father “I’ve never been this hot before”. Ηis reply “Well, you’ ve never been this fat before.” Thanks, Dad…

DrAtkins :  I am dying at that last comment! “You’d never do that because you love yourself too much – I’ve seen your facebook pictures (referring to selfies).”LOL!

This bitch at my work after my miscarriage says to me something along the lines of “oh now we can go for drinks!” If you dont get out of my face I swear to god.

Honestly cant think much of it because the only thing that goes on in her head is “derp derp puppies and kitties puppies and kitties derp derp” 😒

OMG! Some of these stories are outrageous!!!

Mine is a pretty old story…. many years ago, I was dating this guy and we went to his parents’ place for dinner. I’ll call him ‘Mike’.

Over dinner Mike’s mom says, ‘oh, I ran into Claire yesterday at the grocery store.’  So, I ask, ‘oh, who is that? A friend from school?”

His dad answers, ‘that’s a girl that Mike used to go out with’ and his mom adds, ‘  you know, she’s such a pretty girl’.  So… poor Mike says, ‘ I wasn’t very nice to her, mom’ and then he changes the topic.

WTF? I mean, seriously? They couldn’t have told him the same damn thing at some other time when I wasn’t there? The relationship between Mike and I didn’t last long after that… but it did make me wonder if this kind of thing happened a lot.

This happened back in 2005 when I was a senior in high school. I have curly hair and I despised it back then. It didn’t help that I also had very thick bangs. My Mom knew how much I hated my hair, so she took me to what was considered a nicer salon for a haircut. Things were all fine and dandy at first, until I mentioned not liking my hair. The stylists response was “Curly hair will never look good, no matter what you do”. I was pretty traumatizing to 18 year old me. Thankfully the bangs are long gone and I’ve learned to control my hair, but I’ve never forgotten that comment.

One time while driving I was stopped at a light with my windows down. Some youngish guys were in a car next to me and the passenger leaned out and made pig noises at me and said “ooooeeeee you piggy piggy pig faced bitch!” And I looked at him with my mouth agape and closed the window and started crying.

People are so cruel and I went home and looked in the mirror wondering if I really did look like a pig. It still makes me self conscious sometimes.

Having a conversation with a colleague about people not smiling with their teeth showing often he says: “I mean, your teeth are horrible but you always smile with your mouth open!”

when we announced our pregnancy to DH’s family recently, they had asked about what names we were thinking about we, talked about the name Austin for a boy and the first thing out of SIL mouth was “oh thats such a gay name, i only know gay people with the name Austin…”

i didnt respond and Darling Husband either was completely oblivous or intentionally oblivious to it, but she thought it was a funny enough remark to laugh afterwards.

I was not happy….
