mrsbear2be:  I’m the same, if I like a bag, I like it! I carry my $4 bag from Cambodia just as much as I do my Chanel Double flap haha

All these bags out here in the thousands I am over here with my $39 Target purse. Which I adore and it makes me feel fancy! lol  Just thinking about how different people’s lives must be from mine having that kind of disposable income. lol

mrsbear2be: No I mean like if someone has 6k to drop on a purse what kind of life they must be able to lead outside of that. Their vacations, their cars, homes, jobs etc.

Then some of us over here hoping we can pay our rent and car payments on used cars that are 8-9 years old. lol One credit card with a $300 limit. It’s just fascinating to me. Then there are people who have no home, no car, no job etc. Just weird to think about wide range of incomes (or lack there of)  out there.

Around the $170-$200 range, though I never pay full price for anything so that’s discounted from $250-$300.

It was a Marc Jacobs handbag that I paid somewhere between $450-600. It was such a long time ago that I can’t remember. My sister was working at Neiman Marcus & they were having a sale. Then on top of that sale, there was a friends & family discount…it was originally $950. Never again.

rusticglambride:  I had an Alexander McQueen bag – Gorgeous skull tote.  I just sold it.  Everything bad that could happen to that damn bag, happened.

I’d take it out, a stranger bumped into me with a drink and spilled cocktail all over it.

Took it to brunch and the waitress dropped our plate of food and buttercream frosting and syrup spilled all down it (red velvet pancakes, yum) I seriously looked OUT for this bag but bad luck followed me with it.  Thankfully I was able to clean it and still sell it.

That was the turning point when I realized I don’t need nice bags anymore.

I bought a $100 purse in 2011 and I still use it as my every day purse this many years later…. so I think that’s okay. Before that purse, none of them ever lasted that long! They were cheaper.

mrsbear2be:  My black one does! But yes, they scratch so easily 🙁 I slipped and my cream lambskin hit the pavement and has some ‘bruises’  thankfully they’re on the bottom and the corner! So less noticeable…

knickergold:  omg gutted, the first day i got my lambskin I drew on it putting my own pen away arrrrrggg.  I am such a clutz.  Lesson learnt I am a hard leather girl, but it’s soooooo soft.

herrera2016:  your right my life is luxurious, I am really lucky.  But to be honest bee I have done so broke, it kept me awake, night after night just praying for a break and hoping they didn’t cut the electric off.  My life is different now and every day I am so grateful for that.  It’s all relative hey, you meet people in different countries who would consider me at my poorest rich.  The joy of the countries we live in, is the ability to change our lives, or at least have the hope that life can and will get better.

I’ve never spent more than $35 on a purse/bag/whatever.  I’m not a purse, or even a shopping in general, person.  However my mother is, and she is the reason why I have a Coach diaper bag lol.  Meanwhile, I’m still wearing the same clothes/shoes that I bought 10+ years ago.
