I registered for some high thread count Egyptian cotton sheets and I really want them!

I bake all the time. I’m even baking our wedding cake. I love it way more than cooking–FI is the big cooker. So I really would love to get the Kitchenaid stand mixer. We registered for the Pro series mixer, and I think my sister got it for us. There has been one sitting in my Mom’s house since before Christmas, and I’m dying to find out who it’s for!! The other thing I would love from our registry is the copper-bottom pans!! Not as expensive as All-Clad, but I still love them πŸ™‚

@houstonwhodat: Definitely leave the bowl in the freezer for a few days. Making ice cream is a plan ahead venture ha! I also suggest that if you have the room, just leave it in there all the time. I just put frozen veggies in it and leave it in there until I get a bright idea to make some ice cream and then it’s all ready to go.

I really hope we get some money. We aren’t registering for anything for that very reason. We are just broke 20-somethings and would like to have something in our savings account ha.

I really want my best friend to come to my Destination Wedding.

That’s what would make it for me. (and it’s totally not a sure thing right now…which I understand, but that’s what I really want.)

Besides getting to be married to Fiance already, lol!

PS It’s not that I’m a totally unmaterialistic saint or something, it’s just I want a small and intimate Destination Wedding, and I already know my guests aren’t really going to blow the bank on gifts but I don’t care at all, because we’re not in a place right now where we’re trying to outfit a house or anything anyway, and we already bought ourselves stuff that we wanted, inclu. a dyson animal ball and big kitchenaid mixer (btw, to the PP who asked, it’s useful for baking. We make cake sometimes with it. Also I use the bowl as a popcorn bowl sometimes which is bad but who’s gonna stop me? lol! We use the vacc wayyyy more though, the mixer is more of a luxury. It also has an odd looking detachable arm for pasta or bread or something that I have only used for staring at, so far).

Anyway, I just friggin want a specific DW and to have a certain handful of people to be there, even if we buy the plane tickets for them, lol! These people… this place…and it’s a partay! πŸ™‚

I don’t want anything because Fiance and I lived seperately with fully stocked homes and then now we live together so we have double of everything. And we’re moving cross country in 3 years so I really don’t want any “quality” big and bulky either, like china or a sweet vacuum.

However, I do want this:http://www1.macys.com/shop/product/godinger-candy-dish-crystal-hersheys-kiss?ID=585676&cm_mmc=Google_DMA_Home_Cookware-_-PLA+Home+Brands+-+Cookware_PLA+-+Cookware+-+Godinger-_-43967727178-_-mkwid_Wvlcfzfx

Fiance & Future Mother-In-Law have been spoiling me the last couple of years by upgrading all of my kitchen appliances (score!) so I honestly don’t have much of that type stuff to register for. Here are a few “dream” items I would love to get:

1. Waterford crystal wine decanter (It matches some family heirloom glasses that my mom will eventually pass down to me… probably one of the most expensive items on our registry, though!)

2. Wine fridge (Can you tell we like to drink, lol?)

3. Dart board & other “games” (Friends have told me these were some of their most used wedding gifts!)

4. Something monogrammed by accident (Our married monogram is A-S-S, so I secretly hope someone isn’t paying attention and gets us monogrammed towels, lol!)

5. Luggage (We travel A LOT and have totally worn out our ratty old luggage sets. Some nice new luggage would be a real treat!)

Honestly, I just can’t wait to see some of the personal off-registry gifts we end up with, too.   I’ve seen some friends get some really great, unique items that they’ve absolutely loved.

We  really want our china.  It’s beautiful and I actually really want to use it!  We also want our bedding and I want my larger Kitchen Aid mixer.  I am a pastry chef and the small one I have is just way too small for my needs πŸ™‚

Those hoping for a Dyson – if you don’t get one and don’t want to spend the money, keep checking out woot.com.  They have refurbished ones on there a lot.  I bought one from that site about 5 years ago.  Good deal, and it works amazingly!

As for gifts, I’d have to say money.  My Fiance and I have two or three of everything already.  His stuff is even new because when his first marriage ended, he left with nothing and had to buy almost everything new.

I might register for dishware though – maybe fiesta.

Realistically my fiance and I don’t really need anything on our registry, they are all things we just want. What I really want is money πŸ™‚

@inky_1:  Thanks! I think the freeze time is my problem. 12 hours doesn’t cut it… I am adding that book to my amazon registry πŸ™‚

@MissStumptown:  love that idea! It takes up so much room so I usually get frustrated and then I don’t plan ahead enough to pop it back in the freezer. Thanks!
