Some of these are so creepy! I would say the strangest thing to happen to me started when I was six. I was in my backyard with my sister and cousin sitting with our knees up on this hill when suddenly I had the strongest feeling of deja vu ever. It was like remembering a dream. There was a memory there, but vague. Of the three of us sitting like that, but instead of a hill it was like a cliff and we were looking out toward the sun passing back and forth binoculars. Anyway, the feeling passed but the image was so strong it stayed with me for years. I told everyone about it, drew pictures of it, etc. Well, at thirteen my family took a vacation to Maine. We were at Acadia park. We drove up this mountain and then hiked around the precipice. The sun began to set and it was so beautiful that we all sat down to watch. When my sister asked about borrowing my binoculars to look out over the rocks I had the feeling of deja vu again and started to freak out. I’m like “Mom, mom this is that thing I saw when I was six!” It was really uncanny how I had seen ever detail. I never experienced something like that again. If I hadn’t felt it I never would have believed it. It was not a significant event, but it freaked me out for years wondering about free will and if our lives were all preplanned.

FutureDrAtkins:  Your Disney story gave me the CREEPS. I had to immediately comment, because I felt very “watched” when I stayed at a Disney resort. In the parks you assume you are being surveilled heavily (and you are)…but I SWEAR there were obvious cameras in the hotel room, and in the bathroom!! It was very creepy and violating!

Okay so I’ve posted this story on the Bee before, but I really want to keep this thread going.

I grew up in a city that got it’s start as a mill town. When I was living at home after college I decided to volunteer on Sundays at the historical park, part of which is a museum in one of the old mill buildings. Because Sundays weren’t really busy days I would often be working the 2nd floor alone and had a radio if I needed anyone. Generally one or two of the rangers would come check on me, usually around closing time.

Well, I was standing in the AV room shutting down the movie projector and I heard two women in the hallway chatting, laughing and walking towards where I was. I figured it was this one particular ranger who was working that day and her friend, who she is usually with. I finished what I was doing and went into the hallway to talk to them, but no one was there. I walked the whole floor and saw no one and then radioed the ranger to ask where she went. She had never stopped by.

There was no way it was visitors because they couldn’t have made it though the floor that fast unless they hadn’t stopped to look at anything. I also called the first floor and they had not let anyone in past a certain time. I was a little weirded out to say the least. I locked up really quick that day. When I told the rangers no one was really surprised and a few people had similar experiences.

FutureDrAtkins:  I know this thread is pretty old but I just started reading the stories since there weren’t any recent ones and I saw your story…. and I have to ask…. did your mom ever find the picture?
