I remember the one that pissed me off the most..  she said she couldn’t make it because she knew I invited someone (wont use names right now).. that she didn’t like… bummer part.. neither one of them showed..or maybe that was a good thing?..lol

Out of my 85 invitations (140 people) I have only received ONE regret, mind you I am still missing about 10 RSVP’s.  And the couple had a very valid reason – they had their brothers wedding to attend! So much for the thought that 10 – 15% of people decline!

One of my really good friends told me for months he was coming (he lives in Vegas, I am in SLC), I got his RSVP that said he and his boyfriend are working so hard and saving all their pennies and can’t afford to come because they are struggling. Three days later, he quits his job because he hates management (only been there for a month), and every day he posts on FB that he is going to breakfast at the Bellagio, lunch at the cheesecake factory and dinner at the most expensive sushi restaraunt in vegas, RIGHT AFTER HE QUIT HIS JOB!

I am so pissed off at him right now! And just cannot believe he would use that excuse and then quit his job and go out to eat all over town!

My step mother and two of my sisters (and their families) simply didn’t show up.

One of my aunts didn’t regret, she RSVPd yes, then sent a gift a few days before the wedding apologizing for not being able to make it, not realizing I’d read the message before the wedding. When I did read it and I asked her if she was still planning to come, she told me yes. Then, she and my uncle didn’t show–her reason? Her friend’s father was very ill and she needed to be available for her friend. Ok, so you couldn’t take 35 minutes to go to your neice’s wedding ceremony in the same city? I thought your own family should be maybe slightly more important than your friend’s family–at least for the ceremony, skip the reception if you really need to be available to your friend! I’m still mad!

@Luxuryshoegal88: yeah ..now we crack up.. but the sad part.. it was family who didn’t like other family…. long story short.. one sued the other for “not caring” that she fell when she was drunk ..she lost the case..lol…(yes I know a bunch of winners in my family lol)…she is very Sue happy… eventually I lost contact with both of them..and they will not be invited to our 10 year anniversary party..lol.. their loss.. we are awesome ๐Ÿ™‚ … HEY..I just noticed.. your in San Diego.. I am too.. YEY.. I found a fellow san diegan!

My cousin said he couldn’t attend because he daughter had to attend a confirmation class at their church.  I think he was upset because I didn’t invite her (the daughter).

I honestly just got a response last week that said “I think we have something going on that weekend”.  You THINK??  At least TRY to make something up:)  People are so crazy:)

Not a regret, but i had an excuse why the RSVP was late – ‘I’m a PhD student and don’t know what day of the week it is, let alone what date’!! i.e. I’m too busy, clever and important to reply on time! ๐Ÿ™‚
