I know someone who did that at a bridal shower.  I thought that was fine, but it seems a little over the top for a wedding.

After reading through these I’ve decided that I’m secretly puting some lead weights in the bottom of my artfully crafted card box.  It may not entirely prevent theft, but it’ll make it a heck of a lot harder to walk off with.

@Angela83: Yeah, at something like a bridal shower it doesn’t seem too bad. It’s just sometimes I hear/read about people who just don’t care about what other people think and I envy them a little bit–even if I consider what they are doing totally tasteless 🙂

@Dancy905 – a friend of mine got married last year and this woman who had obsession with the groom showed up to the ceremony and reception without being invited. she was an obvious sore spot for the bride and groom for quite awhile because she was totally fixated on the groom and he had both gently and firmly “let her down” more than once. when they were emptying out their card box they found a card addressed only to the groom, signed with her name and many kisses and hugs… no gift included
