Traditionally the third band was an anniversary present on the 1st year. Now women are getting an extra one just because.

Ack, my old post is only showing the weird combo. Okay, I’m re-posting the one that I kinda like (I might like it better when I lose the rest of the ‘baby’ weight.)
I am planning to buy some cz eternity rings to play with when I feel like jazzing up my stack. But right now I have two plain bands of different shapes, one flat and one domed. They look better with my ring.
My rings are actually pretty big, but I have a third band and possibly fourth (still considering it) that are black diamonds because that is our thing in our family. My husband has black diamonds in his band, my daughter got a black diamond solitaire for her birthday, my son has custom made black diamond earrings and my youngest son has a custom made black diamond pendant necklace with his initials on it. I want to eventually open horse stables and it will be called Black Diamond Stables so it only makes sense for me to incorporate a black diamond band into my wedding set.
None of my wedding jewelry fits, and I wear stacks because they help to keep my rings ON. That said, I’ve always loved wearing stacked jewelry. Just love the variety of lots of different combnations.
From what I’ve learned working at a jewellers workshop the third ring is an “Eternity” ring. You should recieve one from your husband traditionally a few years after your wedding (more like 10yrs) but I guess women see them and want one straight away now a days ha ha 🙂
I don’t think it’s a trend because my mom has stacked rings, and she’s been married 30 years. The second band was for her first anniversary. I also have a couple aunts who have stacked rings as well with the third band representing the anniversary. So it’s something that’s been around for awhile.
I did not want the “traditional” look of the wedding rings. I created this look (so if needed), I can wear any of them by its self.
