My dress was a natural waist. They are actually really big right now. :/

@Take The Reins: Are you complaining about natural waist or dropped? I’m confused…

The dropped waist looks terrible on me, too.  My child bearing hips I suppose with help me one day in the labor room… but not for these dresses.

@Take The Reins: Well… Allure, Maggie Sottero, Jasmine, Casablanca and Mori Lee, I know for a fact that they have natural waist gowns. Mine was an Allure.

I saw A LOT of natural waist gowns, even though I prefer dropped waist (personally). Just be sure to tell the bridal shop you don’t want dropped waist when you’re shopping!

@Take The Reins: That’s horrible. Some of us are just pear shaped. Even if some of us starved ourselves into emaciation, our hip bones can’t be changed.

I hope you aren’t returning there!

For the record, Justin Alexander and David’s Bridal both have dresses with waists that don’t hit halfway to the knees. I think they’re awful, too. Some girls can pull them off, but they certainly aren’t to my taste, and I’ll be glad when the trend is over.

I recall Watters having a pretty good selection of natural waist gowns.

Dropped waist gowns look horrible on me! I have a lower abdominal “roll”, so it just looks awful.

I tried on a lot of natural waist gowns but ended up with a dropped waist because I thought it was more flattering and showed off my curves better.  But Watters, Enzoani and Allure all had natural waist gowns from what I remember.

I had the opposite – everywhere had natural waist or mermaid, and very few dropped waist (which I really liked)!

My gown was a natural waist, and it was from Casablanca
