I am on here quite frequently, and I haven’t noticed any “snarkiness”. I still think this is a great place to share ideas and get advice.

There is a bit of snarkiness here and there, but it’s easy to ignore.

I have been on here about 10 months or so and I think I noticed things getting a little more “drama-filled” maybe about 3-4 months ago?  I still love this place and keep myself out of conflict, but I do agree things have changed a bit.

Actually, I feel that the snarkiness has seriously died down in the last few weeks. If you would have asked this question a month ago I would have voted yes but no, I don’t think the Hive has been snarky at all lately. Unless of course I’m missing all the drama inducing threads, which I don’t think is the case.

I think that the posts that have to do with weddings specifically aren’t as bad, it’s when you venture outside of the wedding world. I’ve found I have to sift through the NWR/Baby stuff to even find much that pertains to me lately. The Not Wedding Related posts have seemed to be more grouchy…which is why I’ve avoided the boards more lately.  That’s my two cents…

@UpstateCait: I agree with you, girl. Seems like the holidays mellowed this place out a bit. Or at least with all the proposal threads, the snarkiness is harder to find.

@UpstateCait: agreed. after the most recent ‘debacle’, things have actually been a lot calmer and less snarky.

What I have noticed is there are some that seem to give unsolicited advice at times or tell other bees you “should” or “shouldn’t” do about various situations/topics and/or passing what appears to be judgment. Or using a lot of “never” and “always” statements about other bee’s personal lives (family/SO/money/kids/etc) Typically this occurs in the Not Wedding Related, but I have seen a tiny bit in the WR threads, too.

I do think, for the most part, the threads are helpful and fun.

Actually, I think the past 2 weeks or so has been really calm. There hasn’t been as much traffic and a lot of people that are posting are the “usuals”.

@UpstateCait: I agree. It was strippers are satans spawn and registry info in your invitations is the tacky of all tacky there for quite awhile. I think December has been much nicer then say September, October, November was.

I agree with pp. For awhile it was getting pretty bad but I have noticed a change for the better in the last couple of weeks.
