- Wedding: September 2015 - Hotel Ballroom
My DH and I got married back on September 26th.
We are in the process of buying a condo, and our goal is to be living in our new home by Christmas of this year.
We plan to stay there for three or four years, then sell the condo and buy a townhouse.
In January of 2016 we are going to start TTC. We want to have three kids, and hope to have them within four years of the birth of our first child.
My goal is to be a stay at home Mom, but I want to open an Esty business to help make a little extra cash. My plan is to slowly stockpile merchandise over a year or two (I will have my hands full with babies…so very little time to make things) and open my business when my oldest kid starts preschool.
Yeah, our goals are mainly family oriented.

Our goals are mostly financial.
1st year of marriage — pay off as much debt as possible (total, including cars, student loans, etc. is only about $25,000)
2nd year of marriage — save as much as possible, including retirement and continue saving for a house. Adopt a dog!! 🙂
3rd year of marriage — buy a house, travel as much as possible.
4th year of marriage — LOTS of travel!
5th year of marriage — more travel, maybe try starting to have a family.
Right now I feel like all of my friends are getting pregnant and that’s literally the last thing I want right now. I have always pictured myself as a mom, but at this point I’m feeling very “meh” towards babies. I truly hope that changes in the next 5 years, and I definitely think it will…however if it doesn’t we won’t have kids. We would consider adopting though. I love kids as I’m a teacher, but it is very nice coming home to a quiet house with just my husband and our two kitties.

2016: dump a lot of money into investments and saving for a home. Trip to Banff/Calgary with family.
2017: buy or build a home. Small trip … to maybe Yellowstone? Some sort of camping/nature trip.
2018: Save nest egg to support me staying at home. Hawaii or Mexico trip.
2019: Europe trip. TTC. Work through pregnancy then leave my work.
2020: Raise baby!
Miscellaneous undated goals:
Lose weight – eat better and be more active
Purchase more local and sustainable foods
For me: write more, work on photography, scrapbook and journal like crazy, get my work and social life more balanced and enjoy days more. Update my wardrobe! Buy classic and long-lasting pieces rather than junk that will barely last a season.
For him: promotions, improve his shooting accuracy, more hunting/fishing, buy a boat and ATVs, whittle a really nice chess set and other potential heirlooms, get dog(s)
In the next five year plan, we will be having another baby, buying me a new car (please Kia, keep running for five years!), and I will finish my master’s before going back to work.
I’m sure it will alllllll go exactly as planned!!

Oh, this looks fun! We can dream, right? Here’s mine.
Fall of 2016: Move in with boyfriend, hopefully adopt a new addition (Yay, puppies). S.O and I will graduate at the end of the Fall semester-me with an Advertising/Public Relations degree, him with Computer Engineering.
Spring of 2017: Gather our barings, look over job oppertunities. If S.O gets hired at the company he interned for (also his ideal start company) we’ll pick up and move out to California.
Fall of 2017: Start paying off my student loans (always wonderful to look forward to) and begin the waiting process of engagement. S.O has said that he could propose anywhere from the end of fall, to beginning of 2018.
Spring of 2018: Will hopefully already be engaged, or moving towards that general direction. Hoping to work my way up to a CopyWriter by this point in an in house advertising agency.
Fall of 2018: Hopefully planning a wedding and almost married. Stable in our careers, travel a good bit, and really start to save in order to buy an ideal house within the next few years.
4 years after that point, start trying for kids. I don’t want to try any earlier than 29, as I’d prefer to work my way up to a higher up position in an Ad Agency before I’m ready and satisfied to dedicate almost all of my life to children.
So….we’re just trying to get to the move in faze currently 😉

Ohh, I love doing this!
My guess is we’ll be getting engaged sometime in the next year, likely somewhere between May and Septemper 2016, so most of this is based on that assumption.
July/August 2016 – Rent our first apartment together
Summer or Fall 2017 – Get married
2018/2019 – Start looking for and eventually buy a house (hopefully?)
2020 – get a fur baby (puppy) to help us decide if we can handle a human baby. 😛 This might happen earlier if the place we rent allows pets, but I’m not getting my hopes up.

Ooh, fun! I’ve just accepted a job offer so I can actually think about how life will pan out over the next five years. I’m training to be a Chartered Tax Advisor (essentially an accountant but specialising in Tax) and work will fund all my qualifications/study leave. We also bought our own home in April this year. This is in England 🙂
2016: Get married! Finish my ATT qualification. Fiance has promotion or leaves his company for a new job. Garden has been completed.
2017: Honeymoon to Canada/New York. Take down the wall between the toilet/bathroom to make a family bathroom. Completely renovate with a new bathroom. Start CTA qualification.
2018: Hopefully pass CTA qualification first time! Knock down the wall between the living room/hallway, replaster and repaint.
2019: With both qualifications passed, become time qualified for entry to membership with the Chartered Institution of Tax (CIOT). Can now use letters after my name! Replace the kitchen/carpets. Time to TTC!
2020: Hopefully be pregnant and researching puppies! I aim to have a dog in the home as I just love the bond babies and dogs can have. Who best to guard my child but my best furry friend?

We just bought a house in July and will move in in the new year. Then, we get married in early July. I am hoping to start my masters program next year or the year after so I can get it done. We will take an official honeymoon 2017/3018 nThen we plan on TTC sometime in 2018. Then I don’t know! Enjoy our lives. 🙂

This is a fun post!
2016: Get married in October and start saving for a house/condo not sure if we ll stay in our city or not.
2017-2018: Hopefully have enough saved for a down payment and buy our first home and we’ll no longer have to rent!
2019-2020: Be in our first home and focusing on paying off our debts and building a strong savings.
That’s basically it. We don’t plan on having kids so this our main focus. Maybe adopt another dog within this plan too 🙂
Post # 44
If it all goes the way I plan in my head haha!

This is fun.
2016: Sell our house & buy “forever” home, do any needed renovations right away. Take DH’s parents on European vacation. Lose the last of my quitting smoking weight.
2017 – 2018: Retire. Take milestone birthday trip (I flip flop between about 3 different ideas). Enjoy life. Get back into running. Tale my own “summer of George” year. Maybe take a language class in Italy.. Other enrichment.
2019 – 2020: Start part time consulting biz. Adopt another puppy. Take mom on big trip. Start thinking about our snowbird game plan.
