peoniesbaby:  I am well aware of a dog’s needs as I grew up with dogs my whole life.  If we did an extended trip and we already adopted our dog the dog would go visit my parents who live on a farm.  I’m talking “extended trip” = 2-3 weeks.  We don’t care to travel for months at a time, nor do we have the money to do so.

MrsNino:  Unsolicited advice, but try not to have your first baby the same year as your first year teaching.  The first year teaching is EXHAUSTING, more than you can ever imagine, and doing it while also being a first time mom?  HOLY CRAP that would be a LOT.  I highly recommend getting comfortable with teaching first, then try to have a baby.

2016: new car for me, graduate nursing school, welcome our first little one (may 2016), start a new job as an RN after maternity leave, and buy our first house!

2017: job search for DH, vacation for DH and I, start TTC baby number 2 at the end of 2017

2018: family vacation, welcome baby number 2

2019: build our forever home!, start trying for baby number 3 at the end of 2019/early 2020

2020: settle into new home, family vacation, welcome baby number 3

DH and I want 4 kids, hopefully will be done by 2022, as I’ll be 32 and didn’t want to be older than 30 originally. We hope to build our dream home about 45 minutes from where we live now in DH’s hometown. Looking forward to this life 🙂

1234qwerty94:  Well, we’ve already hit a lot of our major milestones that people think about (getting married, buying a house, TTC, paying off credit cards, etc.), but some of the big ones remaining are:

2016 – First baby (he’s due in Jan!) Pay off my new car and our boat

2017 – Possibly replace DH’s truck (he wants to drive it until it dies) and purchase investment condo

2018 – Replace DH’s truck if not done already, begin TTC #2

2019 – (Hopefully) have Child #2, begin interviewing builders and searching for a property

2020 – Purchase our next property – we’re planning to buy a chunk of land and build a home on it that will be our “dream house” so this could take a LONG time of searching/researching before we actually break ground.

2016  – Jan – April – Installed wine fridge for DH and reno upstairs bathroom.

2016 – Start TTC around Feb

2016 – Take over cooking task from mother in law or at least convince her let me do it gradually

2017 – start painting the walls (I hate the pink color all around my house) and fixed the damaged chew by squirrel (they chewed our vaulted ceiling awhile back)

2018 – stain/paint all kitchen cabinet doors and change the dated crystal light fixture on the vault ceiling.

2019 – Replaced the broken wooden gate to metal gate and installing security camera inside and outside the house (sadly, our City is not safe anymore.)

2020 – look into the option of creating a second rental suite or potential taking in homestay students…
