My engagement ring has sidestone sapphires, plus the wedding handkerchief I’ll be holding with my bouquet has a piece sewn on to it from two pervious users, one of which had a blue dress.

I’ll show a photo later, but I have 2 something blue’s! One is a sapphire ring my (deceased) grandmother gave me as an 8th grade graduation present. The other is a blue butterfly broach that my other grandmother wore ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m going to put it in my bouquet.

I wore blue lacy underwear, and my engagement ring is a blue sapphire. My husband surprised me with a sapphire necklace the day before which I wore, too!

I have two hidden blue sapphires in my engagement ring, that I’ll be wearing on my right hand.  I have no idea what to do about something old or something borrowed…

My mother suggested sewing a piece of blue fabric to my garter but I haven’t settled on that idea yet. I’m still thinking about painting my toe nails blue or having those cute blue “I DO” rhinestone stickers on the bottom of my shoes.

In theory, I would have loved to have had something old, new, borrowed, and blue, because I’m fairly traditional.  I had even thought about pinning a blue handkerchief that was my grandmother’s to the inside of my gown.  However, I was juggling so many details leading up to the wedding that I just didn’t even think anything more about this.

I now joke that I probably am the only bride ever to have something “new, new, new, and new!”  ๐Ÿ™‚
