i’m in the $200-$500 group; but that amount covers my Fiance, our pup (because yes she gets spoiled by santa paws), all 5 parents, 2 siblings, 2 neices, 2 nephews, and 5 close friends. so i think it’s justified. i tend to bargain shop and i don’t drop $500 all at once; i spread out over several weeks. next year i think i might start shopping in july and be done by december 1, lol

I probably will spend about $200-250 on my parents alone, ~$150-200 on Fiance (his birthday AND our dating anniversary are both in december) and ~50 on my friends. Probably around ~20 for his parents and ~20 each for his siblings.

I have a niece and nephew that I won’t go over $40 for; my mom I spend anywhere between $50-$100 depending on what she needs/wants (and she buys my dad and brother their presents from me since I don’t know what they would like); and my SO it goes anywhere between $150-$250.

UGH! GIFTS! The only reason against Christmas!

My family is easy. I shop for my mom, brother, and sister. We have too many aunts and uncles so everyone agreed to not buy for everyone. (Easy Peasy)<br />DH’s Family: We have his mom, grandma, aunt, uncle, and 2 cousins. His dad, stepmom, grandma/grandpa, step sister, 2 neices.

and THEN there’s our gifts to each other. AND our 2 Shih-Tzus

Needless to say because of everybody we have to buy for our budget is usually in the $500-$1,000

DH I will probably spend maybe $150 for 14 people (ourselves included).  However, we handmake all our gifts, so the $150 includes whatever supplies we needed to buy to make the gifts.  The handmade tradition started several years ago when everyone on my side of the family hit hard financial times and didn’t have a whole lot of money.  We decided to keep it simple and only make gifts.  It was the most memorable Christmas any of us had ever had, so we decided to keep it that way.  Sometimes we might sneak in a store bought gift, but 99% of the things we give, is homemade.

I spend $25-$30 for each of my sisters and my niece. For my wife’s family we spend about $100 on her Mom and about $50 on her brother. For each other this year we are only doing stockings because we are taking a trip to the coast the week before Christmas. We will probably spend about $75 each for stockings and little gifts. We both prefer experiances to stuff, so that is our big gift to each other. I can’t wait!

Originally I was budgeting about $500-600 which included Fiance, my parents, my 3 sisters, my grandparents and his parents (so 11 people) I actually spent about $350 instead because I got such wicked deals this year! Of course I keep ordering extras since I came in under budget, By the time I finally force myself to stop (or Fiance confiscates my credit card lol) I think I’ll probably finish off at $400 or $450 🙂

We’re only spending about $100 total. We only really have to buy for my two brothers and my one brother’s girlfriend. For my parents, we always give the same present that only costs us our time. For my DH’s family, we always give them baked goods from my DH’s bakery, which they love. They don’t really exchange presents on that side, so that works for them.

My DH and I bought ourselves a cruise for Christmas, so we will not be buying any other presents for each other this year.
