@carmensita1:  I wouldn’t have minded putting him in some platinum. That might have been my choice even though men’s platinum bands are $$$$$. But alas, it was his choice and he chose titanium. Actually, I suppose I don’t mind so much.

Platinum in his size and preferred width: $1500 MINIMUM.

    Platinum band (Amazon): $10

That’s right, $10! I think the BOX my wedding band came in probably cost more haha. So it’s not insured and he doesn’t have to worry too much about anything happening to it. He even said his friends looked a little bit jealous because he doesn’t have to worry about it. He was very pleased with it.

I told him he can have an upgrade for any anniversary if he wants and I also bought him a swanky watch that cost as much as my engagement ring. So we do each have something fancy to commemorate the occasion. Otherwise it’d be totally unfair! My rings are 19k white gold and diamonds so they cost more than $10.

Mine has wanted a black triton tungsten band ever since we started talking about marriage years ago so that’s what he got 🙂 although his was like $300 and they sell the same thing but without the brand name for 100 at Walmart! And much much much less online but he reallt wanted the marked up jewelry store version which is totally ok by me bc my ring wasn’t cheap lol

The man wants titanium, so he’s getting titanium.

Mr. Fish found this amazing Neil Lane band when we were shopping for my engagement ring years ago. I secretly ordered it for him and surprised it with him. Its awesome. It is gold with black diamonds and studs, like on a studded belt. And so perfectly him. I paid a pretty pennyfor it, so he only wears it on special occasions or date nights, and has just a thing ahite gold band he wears everyday. That band could use a good polish right now though! You cant even tell it is gold! Lol

My Fiance wanted damascus steel.  I got him this one which is damascus steel with a palladium inlay.

@carmensita1:  Yeah! One clarification, I noticed my comment says platinum band for $10, I meant titanium. Oops. But still good. 🙂

Fiance wanted gold and bling, so that’s what he got.

We already have matching SS bands that we wear as RH rings.  He’ll wear that when he has to visit the manufacturing plants.

I was thinking my Fiance would want something more “manly” like tungston or something black or even those new silicone rings they make for guys. But he’s said he wants a simple yellow gold ring to match my band, so that’s what we’re getting.

My Fiance picked out a tungsten and oak wood ring. It’s absolutely gorgeous, and very much ‘him’.

He picked the tungsten specifically because of the breakability – he is an engineer, and works with machinery, so the loss of the ring is much preferred to the loss of the hand itself.
