I actually posted on the bee about this! For the longest time I wanted a navy blue, blush, ivory and champagne wedding. Until my mom pointed out it did NOT go with the rustic venue. Now I had to find a palette that worked with my Fiance flagrant red head that didnt make my olive skin look washed out but I could still make elegant and rustic. Eggplant purple, blush and ivory with wood and moss accents and lots and lots and lots of candles and crystals…. pretty enamoured with it!

I wanted just fall colors to go with the season but then when chosing flowers, decor etc I decided to just narrow it down.  I liked the look of Red and Orange together and decided to throw in Gray for an accent.  The Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses and Groomsmen tuxes will all be gray, flowers and decor will be orange and red.  A lot of the decor is also reclaimed wood.

@CarolF:  I know I’m a few months late, but here you go! I ended up staying closer to light pink than many different pastel colors, but we did have a few others in there. The cupcakes were light pink and green, and the kids bags were a mix of pink and blue.

My colours are blush/nude pink, gold and ivory, but to be honest I’m not planning to stick to it too closely. I went bridesmaid shopping with an open mind, and it just so happened the dresses I liked best were blush pink. I thought gold would be nice with that, and then I threw in ivory as it just seemed like that would give me more options. But to be honest other than the bridesmaid dresses and the flowers there’s not going to be much of a colour theme  My venue is gorgeous and doesn’t need much decorating and I won’t be forcing Fiance to wear anything pink. So I’m not stressing too much over it

I had no real color scheme, my colors were grape and then I added silver towards the end just for the groomsmen because I felt bad making them wear purple.

    Our venue is very red http://www.versesrestaurant.ca/about/popups/19.html , http://www.versesrestaurant.ca/about/popups/12.html , http://www.versesrestaurant.ca/about/popups/11.html .

So we had to be very concious of our colors to not clash with the red walls and chairs. My girls are wearing Black Satin cocktail dress, Guys in grey Tux’s. Flowers are purple. (Black, White and Purple) is the theme I guess. We didnt add any more red, as its a huge part of the venue. (Edit: Were getting married at “Verses” Restaurant in Kitchener Ontario. Its an old church that was converted into one of the fancier restaurants in the region. I like that it reads as a church in photos, with the stained glass, but is non-denomanational (He is Catholic, I am athiest, and we wanted a civil wedding without god mentioned but still wanted a traditional feel…lol comiplicated ideals)
