I’m a huge fan of the Bond No. 9 series of perfumes – particularly, High Line, Madison Square Park, Spring Fling, I Love New York (Women’s) – most of these are warmer weather/day time scents for me.
Recently fell in love with Hermes Jardin de Monsieur Li and I’m obsessed. Every time I wear it, someone stops me and tells me that I smell good and ask what I’m wearing. And the entire Jardin line is unisex.

Light Blue by Dolce & Gabbana has been my scent for over 10 years now, it smells INCREDIBLE. I’ve never gotten more compliments on any scent. My other favorite is Black Opium by Yves Saint Laurent, very warm and great for winter.

Poeme by Lancome. Sometimes hard to find, but it’s my absolute favorite.

Tip: If you’re just getting into perfumes and want to try a few different things without breaking the bank, I’d a) get complimentary samples from Sephora for some of the mainstream brands and b) order small batches/samples from websites that sell decants like http://www.theperfumedcourt.com. Don’t trust scents sprayed on testers. Spray them directly on your skin and let them wear for a bit– body chemistry will definitely affect how they smell person to person.

I have a few in rotation but currently obsessed with Jo Malone Basil and Neroli. Fresh, clean and just a bit unique and lasts all day and then some.

I love perfume and I love discovering new scents. My favorite was a crayon solid I got at Anthropologie called 5:00 at Belvoir Castle, but it’s been discontinued for a few years. For being a simple solid, it was so uniquely amazing, and I always got compliments every single time I wore it. I have just a precious sliver of it left that I keep in my lingerie drawer. I also love Bulgari’s Omnia, Daisy by Marc Jacobs, and Light Blue.

I’ve never smelled White Patchouli but just looked it up. I’ll tell ya, Le Labo’s version of patchouli doesn’t smell like the garden variety kind. It has a mix of smoke, leather and vanilla.
Definitely not a scent for everyone but I love it and get asked what I’m wearing all the time. 🙂

Anytime I wear perfume, it’s always Euphoria by Calvin Klein. I’ve loved it since I was 15.

Most days I either wear Karma by Lush, or Opium by YSL. Karma is a patchouli and orangey scent, and Opium is a heavier, musky, spicy scent. I vary depending on what I’m wearing, Karma if I’m feeling girly, and Opium if I’m going for a more dramatic look.
I have several other perfumes too, but these two are always my go-to choices.

Thank you all for your recommendations! I will go out this weekend and try to get samples of them 🙂 I did order Gucci Bloom after trying it out for a few days. And I blind ordered Velvet Orchid by Tom Ford because I smelled it once on someone else and I loved the scent! I am pleased to be starting this mini collection! Does anyone have a good recommendation for an evening perfume? Something a little bold and sexy? Maybe like Black Opium, but a little more floral?
