Yellow metal looks awful on my skintone, and I’m allergic to nickel so white gold is off the table. The majority of my jewelry is silver, but my engagement ring is palladium and my wedding band will be palladium as well.

Yellow gold all the way! My husband proposed to me with a white gold e-ring even though he knows i love and always wear yellow gold. It’s cause he doesn’t want to wear a yw wedding band 😂 i had the e-ring changed to yellow gold and his wedding band is two tone, yellow and white gold to compromise 😂

Rose gold for sure. I don’t know why but white gold always looks “dingy” to me. I’m obviously alone in my thinking bec most people have white gold lol Not sure if I’ve seen platinum in person.

I can’t wear silver for long especially in my ears, super sensitive to it for some reason. I have always loved the shine of white gold, but recently got into rose and yellow as well. I love the color of rose but it sort of blends in with my skin tone, especially when I’m tan in the summer. Yellow is becoming trendy again, and I recently got earrings and a pendant and I like the contrast between the yellow gold and the diamonds sparkling. My wedding set is the only two pieces I have in platinum, and I really love the weight and shine of platinum! I don’t know if the price is worth it for platinum in say earrings or a necklace, but for rings with diamonds I really love it.

I have fallen head over heels for rose gold. My e-ring is in white gold because I do like white gold and was worried that rose gold was a fad. My husband gave me a mixed rose and white gold ring this weekend (previously I haven’t owned any rose gold other than bracelets) and oh boy do I love the way it looks on my finger. My husband agreed that instead of resizing my e-ring when I get swollen pregnant fingers he’ll have the same ring made a size bigger in rose gold…I kinda want to start TTC now.

Umm, rude! Silver tarnishes easily and people with sensitive skin often can’t even wear sterling silver, but ok. I don’t like silver anyways. You’re not funny. sboom :

This is why I used to just read these boards for fun and never comment… some people  have no manners here and they don’t even stick to the original subject of the post.

    sweetocean24 :  That wasn’t rude whatsoever, it was a lighthearted joke… chill.

Only a vampire would get so worked up over that.

If calling me a vampire is the best you can do ok. I sort of look like Nina Dobrev from the Vampire Diaries, and she’s gorgeous 🙂 chelbell23 :

sweetocean24 :  I don’t think you understand that no one here is trying to insult you, you just chose to be insulted and be rude instead of you know, joking back. People like to joke around on here.

White gold is my favorite and my wedding set is white gold (14k and one ring is 18k). I also love rose gold though! I have it in 10k and 14k and really like how pink the 10k rose gold is! I’d love to have some 18k peachy rose gold some day too. GIVE ME ALL THE SHINIES.

I like all metals. I tend to mix and match. But when it comes to gold, I prefer 18kt.
