I don’t know why, but I never thought I’d be “one of those people” who is seriously ADDICTED to Pottery Barn.. The bonus is: Fiance is too!<br />..Wait, I don’t know if thats a bonus, everything there is so much money! lol.. Fiance and I have been on a year long shopping spree buying things for his condo (he’s never lived in it – its been a rental) so we’ve slowly become one of those couples who fancys going to our favourite “home” stores on the weekend..
We’ve shopped at a bunch of stores, but we LOVE: Pottery Barn (omg the bedding is to freakin’ die for!), Pier 1, Home Sense, Crate and Barrel, Bed Bath & Beyond and Williams Sonoma.
So what stores do you love? Do you have a favourite item you’ve bought there? Or thats on your wish list?
We already have a couch, but right now Fiance and I are planning on starting to save for this gorgeous baby:

Z Gallerie and West Elm are my dream home furnishing stores!

Beall’s Outlet, Walmart, Kmart, thrift shops, Big Lots. Anywhere that I can shop on a strict budget.

For furniture, I love the local restore, we bought the BEST chair ever, slightly used, still in awesome condition, for a fraction of what it would have been new. Although, in order to find it, it took 4 or 5 trips there without finding anything, but persistance paid off!
Everything else, TJMaxx is my favorite, again, grea products at a discount.

Restoration Hardware, One King’s Lane, and West Elm. mmmm

I love pottery barn, west elm, anthropologie, etc but I’m too frugal to shop there! Beyond thrift stores and and craigslist, I love World Market and Target. Some of their stuff is cheap crap but some is so cute, affordable, and really durable.

Crate & Barrel, I’m loving everything they have out for the spring/summer right now…

Moncheri: Love Pottery Barn! And Restoration Hardware is another favorite of mine. For online home shopping I really like Wayfair. I also have lots of house things from Pier 1 and World Market.

We have reno’d our whole condo in the last 2 years so almost everything we have is new. I am well familiar with all our local stores.
I’m a believer in buying quality pieces for the ones that get a lot of wear like sofas and chairs, but I also hate that “packaged” look when someone buys everything in a set or all from one store. It’s just too boring when the bed, night stnds, bureau, chest of drawers etc is all the same.
So, The Bay, Lazy-Boy, Urban Barn, Pier !, West Elm, Scandia, Mobler, Ikea, little local boutique shops for decor accessories and art.

If I had unlimited funds it would definitely be spent at West Elm and Pottery Barn. I also love love love Joss and Main. Since I do not have unlimited funds, Wayfair, and a local store around my area are my furniture/home drugs of choice.

julies1949: I agree on the not getting a full “set” from a store, Fiance and I have been really concious of that, we have pieces from everywhere to avoid that “packaged” look. We didn’t want EVERYTHING from one store, which is why we’ve been shopping around so much 🙂 I also agree on the getting quality stuff that will last a long time, for a lot of stuff.. I just hate the idea of re-buying things because it breaks from regular wear/tear after not much use.
the_newlymintedmrs-s17: I’m glad Fiance and I had a lot of time to get all our stuff together over the past year, so we could look around, find what we like, save up and THEN get it.. I couldn’t imagine starting from scratch and trying to furnish a full home. Friends of mine bought a house 2 years ago and are still in the process of getting everything furnished, I can’t believe how much money + time goes into getting a home together.. Its nuts.

I like Ashley Furniture. Durable and well priced. For decorating, I love World Market, though their prices are too much for me sometimes. It depends on the item.

My favorites are Casalife, Quasimodo, West Elm, and CB2.
Mostly everything in my house comes from one of these 4 stores. I also like Design Within Reach but don’t find myself buying a ton of stuff from them.
