Um, can I say all of the above?? If my mother wouldn’t die… I’d totally throw a tapas style reception! Yum-O!
I voted for a bread appy though. I love fresh baguettes possibly more than I love my FI! lol bruschetta all. the. way!

I voted for pastry bites, but really my answer would be all of the above 🙂
ejs, I’ve made that jalapeno popper dip a couple of times and it is soooo good! I could eat the whole thing myself. It goes well with toasted slices of french bread.

Is it bad that it’s 8am, i’m having my coffee, and all I can think about is a bunch of appetizers for breakfast? =]

Oh dear… I don’t think I could ever choose my favorite appetizer. I love them all!! If I were going to make one for a party though, I am highly partial towards the raspberry baked brie recipe from epicurious. It is super-yum!

When I want to impress, I make truffled white bean dip and serve it with pita chips or toasted baguette rounds. It’s easy and everyone loves it. (If you don’t have white truffle oil, it’s good with a few roasted garlic cloves.)

I’m the QUEEN of appetizers in my friend group.
I usually bring a dark rum, pecan and brown sugar glazed cooked brie. The recipe is HERE. That goes quick with sliced apples, crackers and bread. Mmmm! ALSO, I like to grab a baguette, slice it, and make mini paninis using my cast iron pan and a heavy pot to press down the bread while it crisps in butter. For fillings, the biggest hits are mini-cubans (ham, cheese, pickle) and mini-paninis with goat cheese, honey, and sliced pears. Whatever is seasonal is best, of course.

Camembert baked in its box with some bread to dip into it is one of the tastiest things ever. All you do is buy one in a wooden box, take it out of any plastic wrapping inside, put back into box, bake for 15 minutes, make some slits on top for the cheese to come out of and you’re done!
