@jtsing:  I’ll also add a hard boiled egg, esp if it’s after a run.

Greek yogurt, banana, and 1/2 cup kashi golean cereal. Those three items are always well stocked in my kitchen. 🙂

When I was a student and had more time on my hands, I used to eat an egg white spinach omlette with toast and half of a grapefruit… but I usually eat breakfast at work now so not feasible.

My favorite breakfast is grits. But since I add butter and cheese, I don’t think it’d be much of a healthy breakfast 🙂

If I’m looking to fuel up for a long day, I’ll eat a small bowl of cereal – Special K or Multigrain Cheerios – with 1% milk, and eat a banana, or maybe a small yogurt.

I really and truly believe that there is no better breakfast than 2 full eggs.  Hard boiled, sunnyside up, soft boiled, over easy, scrambled – however you like them.  I never eat carbs for breakfast and I really try to limit my carbs to lunch time, only.  I think the eggs fill you up for 4 hours and studies show that people who eat 2 eggs (including the yolk) every day for breakfast lose more weight and keep it off longer than those who don’t!

@futuremrsk18:  I don’t eat meat and yet two eggs puts me above my cholesterol allotment for the day. I can stick with one.

I really love those frozen aunt jemima oatmeal pancakes. I just pop a couple in the toaster and go, probably not the healthiest, but they’re delicious!

2 cups of coffee, 1 bananna, 2 rice cakes. Wakes me up, keeps me full from 730-1130, keeps me regular . . . Also stimulates the metabolism but is low calorie

I barely eat breakfast and it has never made a difference in my weight.  I’ll maybe eat a hard boiled egg, or if I am going to run really long, oatmeal.  I’ve weighed less eating no breakfast and more eating breakfast…so, idk, to me it is the least important meal of the day because I’m not hungry in the morning, and I don’t eat when I’m not hungry.

I try to eat high protein so my three fav’s are:

  • Ham & Laughing Cow Egg White scramble (I make this in the microwave, super easy)

            150 cals with 28gms protein.

  • Greek Yogurt with a small handful of HiLo Cereal

           180 cals with 24gms protein

  • Protein Shake (really easy if you are in a rush and don’t want to skip breakfast)

130 cals with 31 gms protein

Lately I’ve been eating Kashi waffles topped with peanut butter and some sort of berries. I also make my own oats with cinnamon and maple flavored agave syrup.

@ebet24:  I use to eat a Kashi waffle every morning with PB and a sliced banana on top and a hard boiled egg on the side. SO filling and yummy!

@caits615:  that’s interesting because the yolk is actually full of good cholesterol, not bad – its a myth that it’s full of bad cholesterol.  but, if your dr. recommends sticking to only 1, then maybe 1 and 2 egg whites?  1 egg alone is usually too little for most people (not filling enough).. although sometimes i do a scrambled egg with cottage cheese or a fat free hot dog (lol yes, im classy) and that will up the protein and then i’ll only use 1 egg.

FYI on the cholesterol:

http://news.menshealth.com/the-best-breakfast-for-men/2012/04/26/

Lecithin, a substance found in the egg yolk, might increase HDL cholesterol. “Lecithin helps remove cholesterol from tissue and transport it to the liver, so it doesn’t build up in blood vessels,” says study coauthor Maria Luz Fernandez, Ph.D., a nutrition professor at the University of Connecticut.

And an article on the eating 2 eggs for breakfast thing:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-452282/How-eating-eggs-breakfast-help-lose-weight.html

Although I’m sure there are better articles on it!
