Aldi! Then Trader Joes. Then Whole Paycheck. We go shopping in that order to save the most amount of money. =)

@vorpalette:  That seems odd to have jewlery when you are looking for grocery stores. My husband worked as an intern at a dairy plant owned by Kroger this summer. While he worked there he told me that Fred Meyer Jewelers is owned by Kroger. Might be why they pop up but it still doesn’t make sense to me why they would put that with the grocery stores.

I love Sprouts Market! I always shop there. When I lived in Minneapolis, we were pretty serious Byerly’s devotees 🙂

I like Trader Joe’s, but we also go to Safeway, QFC, & Fred Meyer. The last two are both Kroger owned stored.

I avoid Walmart at all costs because their stores are so crowded and people get cranky there 🙁

You guys have a lot of grocery stores I’ve never been to or even heard of!

Wegman’s all the way for me… there’s a new one less than a mile from my house and it is wonderful.

There is a store here that I love called Dorignac’s. They have the best selection of local products and a great cheese shop.

Trader Joe’s and Kroger.  Doesn’t hurt that we get a 10% discount on all kroger brand items.

The large full Super Target I will say is one of my favorites (they have great prices) and then also Dillons (Kroger brand).  Unfortunately I don’t have any Dillons directly around me but I do where I work so if I can stop there I will.  Other than Target, directly near where I live are Hen Houses, they are ok but I don’t like the one right by me.  So sometimes I get stuck going there.

I like the HyVees but in my experience they are usually more expensive.

Hmm..other than this area I shopped at Publix for a few years in Florida and I liked those fine.  They had some Winn-Dixie’s there too but I really didn’t like the ones in my area (no idea if there were better ones)

@Woodstock:  Suprised someone said Farm Fresh, I used to work there, and also do all my shopping there when I lived in VA. But my favorite store had always been Publix, although I now work there so I guess my opinion is biased but if it counts it was my favorite before I started working there

I do most of my shopping at Publix. They have a much better selection than Walmart and their customer service is much better. I also try to shop at local farmer’s markets when they’re open.
