Audition.
It is absolutely horrifying and disgusting and gave me nightmares for months. When it first premiered, several notable directors said it was too disturbing to watch.
I’m also terrified of Paranormal Activity because I don’t like things I can’t see. A monster is much less scary than a spirit to me.
LOL! I am so afraid of Paranormal activity! I think it was the second one where the girl gets dragged into the basement…I still can’t go in my basement alone, even with the lights on..I think that is the only scary movie that actually scared me…I like the first one, the second one sucked, just that one scene scared the shizz outta me!
Drag Me to Hell.
It was amazing and was what brought my Fiance and I together.
I love all the classics and all zombie movies. I also am a fan of horror comedy, like Shaun of the Dead. I recently saw Cabin in the Woods and really enjoyed it because of the humor in it. Joss Whedon is awesome!
Paranormal Activity is the only scary movie that has ever made me lose sleep. I think partially because the point of view of the camera in their bedroom is very similar to the point of view I have when I am in bed at night. I also would LOSE MY SHIT if I ever woke up to DH staring down at me while i slept! lol
Japanese horror is the best!: The Grudge, The Ring, etc!
28 Days Later, SCREAM, Cabin In The Woods, Dawn of the Dead, Shaun of the Dead (don’t know if that counts), Paranormal Activity, Poltergeist
Ooo I love scary movies!
Se7en and Silence of the Lambs have been my all time favorites since I was a teen (I don’t think they’ve been mentioned yet).
I also really love zombie movies (including Shawn of the Dead- Hilarious!). Anything by George A Romero is certified greatness.
And yes, I agree with everyone on the Paranormal Activity movies. I’ve only seen the first 2, but they both made me lose sleep and still to this day I can’t sleep with my feet outside of the blankets.
