Soon2BeMrsS:  Juice Beauty has undereye concealor that is wonderful– if I wear one, it’s the ONLY one I will wear.  It’s moisturizing and natural looking, doesn’t setle into lines, and can even be worn by me even though I have tiny milia!  That makes it amazing!!  If you’re interested, I can grab the actual full name– but I know it’s part of the stem cell line of Juice Beauty.

I hope this isn’t a really dumb question…but can any of these be worn alone, without foundation/powder on top? I have dark under eye circles and milia but really can’t wear a full face of makeup everyday.

Bare Minerals is the very best IMO, but I did switch everything over to Aveda because Bare Minerals makes brushes out of goat & pony (very odd). I know Aveda is owned by a parent company that tests and has honey in a few products but I find it to also be really reliable and friendly.

NARS Radiant Creamy concealer works really well for my super dark under eye circles. I switched from my Maybelline Fit Me stick as it was starting to feel chalky.

turnanewleaf:  It really depends on your skin type. If you have dry skin and are using a cream concealer, you can probably get away without powder on top of your concealer. But if you’re oily, you definitely want to set it with a powder – just use a little powder or it will look cakey.

LaceyM:  I have combo/oily skin but I have a physical job that makes me sweat like a monster, hence not wanting to wear a full face. Would it be best to just forget it and learn to accept my circles? Or would I put on concealer and then a full face of powder, can I just puff transluscent powder over my eyes and leave the rest of my face alone?

turnanewleaf:  yea I definitely don’t like wearing foundation everyday so I will just put concealer in a few spots where I need it (under my eyes, redness around my nose, …) and then I puff a little bit of a translucent or tinted powder over my whole face and I’m good to go.

(I’m not sure how it would hold up to sweat as I generally skip makeup if I know I’m going to sweat but it’s worth a try!)

LaceyM:  Thanks! Yeah I like to avoid makeup when I’m sweating but…it’s a daily thing and I want to look somewhat put together as I also have to meet clients between sweat sessions, I’m kind of sick of looking frumpy 7 days a week! Thanks again 🙂

Soon2BeMrsS: I’ve been struggling with extremely dark under-eye circles my entire life. I’ve been using Boi-ing for a few years now, and it does a great job of minimizing my dark under-eye appearance (I say ‘minimizing’ because nothing could ever completely cover up these puppies).

My only complaint is that it tends to crease after a few hours of wear. I tried switching to Givenchy Instant Light Corrective Pen as well as a few others that were recommended to me by a MUA, but had a terrible allergic reaction to all of them. Looks like I’ll be sticking with Boi-ing and dealing with the creases.

sassy411:  I’ve tried fake up.  I like it.  It seems like it would be oily (and I have oily/combination skin) but it seems hydrating and doesn’t look cakey.  I sometimes put it under mac pro longwear concealer and just use a bit of the mac.  I wanted to love macs prolongwear concealer, but I find it looks too made up under my eyes.  I don’t love it for covering blemishes.  I don’t know why!

i just got the maybelleine age rewind, and I’m liking that better than MAC’s Pro Longwear.  I don’t have very dark circles, but if you do you might need some color correcter rather than just a concealer If you do.

turnanewleaf:  get the urban decay de slick setting spray.  I swear it helps my makeup from moving.  I have oily skin (and eyelids) and this helps keep my shadow from moving and the oily spots (between eyebrows!) from smudging and separating on my face.
