My favorite is Mermaid. I love it because it’s sexy, but we are making it modest with a bolero jacket. It was a princess cut/ball gown at first but my aunt is going to alter it into a mermaid. Wish us luck bees!

I would have voted for trumpet. I think it is softer and more feminine than both the A-line and the mermaid.

Anything that shows off the female figure. 🙂 Mermaid and trumpet are at the top of my list.

Since a lot of people seem to bash the trendiness of mermaids, I did a little research and found articles as far back as the 1880s, such as this hilarious one, which talk about them being in fashion:

“There are the thin high-heeled shoes, a constant threat of dislocation to the ankle, and the unsightly red or blue stockings too liberally displayed. Lastly, there are the so-called dresses, intended rather to display than to drape the figure; bodies tightened to an unhealthy pressure, and skirts so attenuated at the knees as to make it next to impossible for the wearer to waddle even at the present fashionable pace, with tails dragging behind that give the poor skewered figures the appearance of mermaids ashore.”

They’ve been around a surprisingly long time! Virtually ALL clothing goes in and out of style. 🙂

Haha, great find @Minutiae. Apparantly the thin high heels and their ankle dislocating tendencies have prevailed for a long time.
