I realized tonight that I watch too much TV – and too much wedding-related TV, at that! Anyway, I have always loved SYTTD but this last episode of My Fair Wedding made me realize how much I love David Tutera! He did a gorgeous country wedding (and I’m so not a country fan) that fit the bride to a T and was totally different than the fancy weddings he usually plans. He’s seriously talented, and seems like an honestly nice guy too.
What’s your favorite show and why?

Man I would have KILLED to have David T come waltzing in and take over the wedding planning. Heck, in retrospect, I would have loved almost anybody coming in and taking over. LOL

Haha I just did a post on how much I dislike David T 😉
I like Rich Bride Poor Bride. Sometimes it is a little too “scripted” for me but I like how it focuses on the COUPLE planning their wedding and not just the bride like most of the others.

I remember the summers between my highschool years 8-10 years ago when A Wedding Story was on TLC.. Anyone remember that show? Classic! Probably wouldn’t survive today’s t.v. world, but a classic none the less!
My fave show righ tnow is Say Yes to the Dress. I can’t believe some women who buy a dress that is more than I’m thinking I’d spend on my entire wedding. Ah, gotta love reality t.v.

I love bridezillas! So crazy. I always feel bad for the brides who are from completey non-supportive family members. David T. is another fav. Although it is very unrealistic but it is great for ideas. I watch say yes to the dress now. When it first came on I thought it was stupid! I thought this isn’t going to last. But i like it now. The worst shows are when the groom comes along. They make it so difficult!

I watch them all.
lol bridezillas is the perfect bargaining chip for my Fiance, if he wants me to watch something awful like rambo or something I’ll agree only if he’ll watch bridezillas. Usually gets me out of watching said show.
My favorites are tied between My fair wedding and Say yes to the dress.
I also really like Four weddings.

I voted SYTTD. I just love looking at all the really expensive dresses I could never have afforded. lol. I like the first season of My Fair Wedding better. I dont know… something just irks me about this season. I can’t put my finger on it. Four Weddings drives me up the wall. I just think it’s really catty and bitchy. Bridezillas is always good for entertainment. Holy crap those women are nuts.
@Pinot Noir: I remember it!!! I used to watch it back in the day.

@Pinot Noir: I remember that show! I also loved the show ‘For Better or For Worse’! The show where they gave couples $5k and a limited amount of time to plan the wedding. The couples family/friends were responsible for planning the wedding and they had to live with whatever they picked.

Oh, does anyone remember that one they used to play that was the groom planned the wedding? I loved that show. (I know there’s a similar one in the UK called “Dont tell the bride” or something to that effect.)

I love say yes to the dress! I always hope to see someone in my dress.
Hasn’t happened yet, I guess that could be a good thing too.

SYTTD. I guess I only care to look at dresses, the other aspects of the wedding are not as interesting to me.

@amykate: I totally saw someone in my dress on SYTTD! It’s the Melissa Sweet Lia. I was watching with DH (FI at the time) and I was like, oh I like that dress, just to see his reaction. He doesn’t have much of an opinion on these things but he didn’t hate it so I guess that was a good sign, LOL.

I love Bridezillas for the trashy entertainment aspect… but there’s also a mini-show that I watched on the Knot that I really liked called Married On Myspace. Couples compete to win a wedding, and Myspace voters choose the winning couple. They then have several aspects of their wedding taken out of their control and put into the hands of viewers. Viewers get to vote on their rings, their venue, their cake, the bride’s dress and wedding night lingere, etc. So the couple starts off thinking, “Sweet! I just sit back and let other people do all the planning!” but starts to regret it when some choices are things like hot dog costumes for bridesmaid dresses and an ice cream truck for the wedding party’s transportation, haha.
