After reading this thread I had a total hankering for cheese…I had to run to the store since we were out. Have a nice block of Vermont White Cheddar (cause it was on sale, and it’s delicious).

Really a fan of most cheeses with a really strong flavor to them. I don’t really like sweet/mild cheeses that don’t really taste like much. Gimme something that slaps my mouth awake!

I love most cheeses but I love

Brie D’Affinois and Brie de Meux from france,

Tilsit and Raclette from a cheesery in Tasmania, Australia (Australia has some of the best cheeses in the world!)

An ashed chevre from Woodside in South Australia

English Stilton and Applewood from the UK.

I love every cheese I’ve ever tried! Right now though, I’m craving some dill havarti. It’s soooo good melted on a bagel. Smoked gouda sounds great too.

@JeniRae, I love Wensleydale with cranberries, too. My ancestors come from Wensleydale (in Yorkshire) so I like to think of them having a nice ploughman’s lunch of bread and cheddar cheese!

Check out the cheese-of-the-month club at http://www.igourmet.com. Pricy, but it’s so much fun.

Prima Donna – an aged Gouda-esque hard cheese that’s a tad sweet and nutty with hints of caramel (think salted caramel)… AND it has crunchy bits (tyrosine). Since I’m a wine nut, it pleases me that this cheese pairs well with many types of wine. Main course: Zinfandel or red Burgundy (pinot noir) and Dessert: tawny port.

Bleu cheese or gorgonzola on burgers with freshly ground pepper. Also those cheeses with green olives. I like gouda as well, and sharp cheddars. Mmm..now I’m hungry.
