Liqueur  (as per Wikipedia) = A liqueur (US /lɪˈkʊr/ or UK /lɪˈkjʊər/) is an alcohoic beverage made from distilled alcohol that has been flavoured with fruit, cream, herbs, spices, flowers or nuts and bottled with added sugar.  Liqueurs are typically quite sweet; they are usually not aged for long but may have resting periods during their production to allow flavors to marry.

In parts of the United States, liqueurs may also be called cordials or schnapps, (this is because there tends to be some confusion with the use of the word liquor which Americans call spirits or hard alcohol).  However the words cordials and schnapps mean different things in other parts of the world as well (specific alcoholic drinks)

So technically not to be confused with flavoured liquors… such as Malibu Rum, Orange Vodka etc.

Gosh there are soo many available now.   I guess my long time faves are:

Kahlua – Tia Maria – Amaretto – Baileys – and Godiva

(Coffee – Coffee – Almonds – Irish Whiskey & Cream – Chocolate)

I guess it is pretty apparent I am a fan of the after dinner Digestif variety.
