nothing super sweet. oregon, new york, california, and italy. for white, i like acidic, bright and fruity. i want it to ‘zing’ a little and finish really clean. sauv blanc, vermentino. also like less acidic like fiano, viognier.
for red, i’m a total sucker for young barbera. i like really smooth, fruit forward, still dry but not overwhelming tannin. i like a juicy red. i worked at a place once that served montepulciano that tasted like blueberry pie. red zinfandel! always really bold and jammy; blackberry, cherry..all that is good for me!! any jammy wine i’m all about. i also can find winners among common grapes, pinot noir, cab, merlot, malbec, but there’s so much variety within each type. could love one and hate the next. oregon pinot noir though is reliably good.
for bubbles i like prosecco, best bargain with sparkling wine there is if you ask me.
totally random but at brunch last sunday we were drinking apple cider and champagne with a granola rimmed glass. sooo good!!!!

White: Savingon Blanc
Red: Malbec! Now that it’s fall I’m loving the chance to enjoy it!

I have tried many wines and cant seem to love it!!! Im a whiskey drinking kind of girl ;0)
BUT… My signature drink for my wedding will be made with pink moscato, lemon juice, and fresh blueberries. It was a drink I had at Olive Garden and really enjoyed it! So I voted for Moscato. Im subtituting the regular moscato for pink as it matches our colors.

@MsGinkgo: Pinot Noir and Zinfindel.

Haha I didn’t know moscato would be so popular, but it’s my favorite too! 🙂 I like both red and white, but moscato is the only kind I’ve found that I know I’ll almost always enjoy. One brand I like, that’s 8 bucks at most, is called Flipflop!

I’m a dark pinot girl myself 🙂

@MsGinkgo: It’s local to Texas, so I don’t know what other states have it, but I love Llano wines. Their sweet red, blush, and moscato are my favorites, but I like them all, really.

guwurtztraminer is my fav! I love it all!

@MsGinkgo: Rief winery and Pelletier winery in Niagara On The Lake have some awesome wines!
You can get wines there that are only sold at the winery, not in liquor stores, and they are usually the best.
Rief has a great Cabernet Gamay and Pelletier has a great Reisling and Gewurtztraminer

@Mrs.LemonDrop: Those are my favourites as well.

Blue Pirate Pinot Gris! So good, but hard to find!

While I love a good Riesling or Moscato in the summer, I am particular to reds. Especially Red Zins. My favorite wine that I always have on hand is 14 Hands Hot to Trot Red Blend, but my favorite special occasion wine is Bella’s Red Zin! My FH brother used to work at the winery in Northern California and would often bring us home free bottles:)

- Wedding: August 2013 - Rocky Mountains USA
I usually prefer red unless it’s the middle of a summer day. I like Pinot Noir, Zin (NOT white zin!!), and red blends.
For white, I like a good Pinot Grigio.
