Last time I checked, it was 760-something.  I’m also 26 and always always pay my bills on time.  I have a car loan, multiple student loans, and a lot of credit cards.

@Artificial-Sweetener:  Before buying a house it was 712 I think, after purchasing the house and being in it for a bit, we’re closer to 800.

    EDIT: I forgot to say, I’m 33

How do you find out without paying for it?

@Atalanta:  try creditkarma.com, they pull soft credit reports so it doesn’t affect your credit.

Mine is mid-upper 600s, due to some educational loans that my family members had tied to my account that were not paid on time. Not my fault, but nothing to do about it. My main drags are that I don’t have many years of credit history, though.

@Artificial-Sweetener:  If his score is really terrible, and you can afford it, you can always apply for the loan on your own.  It took me about a year and a half to clean up my FI’s credit to where we could purchase our house without having to pay crazy fees or interest (I’m in charge of finances too lol).

@Atalanta:  I think you get 1 free report per year from the credit agencies.  We had ours pulled because we were applying to loans.

You can’t get it free here, you have to pay for it.  I paid once, because there was going to be a delay in getting my free report.  It was a good enough score that I’m not going to bother paying again.  I don’t remember what it was though Frown

If someone does know some trick to get it for free, please share!

529 – I’ve defaulted on some of my credit cards.  This was like 5 years ago.

    EDIT: I’m 25.  🙂
