Hey bees! What kind of foundation do you use for everyday wear? I have been using Neutrogena’s tinted moisturizer, and I like it alright, but lately have noticed the tone is actually a bit off and that it maybe leaves me a bit shinier than I’d like. I have a Tarte foundation I wear only when I’m doing a lot of makeup on rare occassions. I would love suggestions for a happy medium, I don’t like a cakey coverage but just something to smooth and even things out. Price range I’m looking for around $10-$30. Looking forward to hearing your faves!

I know this is a little bit higher than you wanted to spend, but I love Nars Tinted Moisturizer. It’s $45 at Sephora, but if you sign up for Rakuten, you can typically get around 6-8% cash back.
And it lasts me forever. I used to use the Neutrogena brand as well and I felt like I was going through it so quickly.

I use Clinique Even Better for daily wear. I find it gives good coverage but it’s nice and light, and doesn’t look obviously like you’re wearing foundation. I also like their Superbalanced foundation but find it a bit thicker and tend to wear this more for events

IT cosmetics CC cream. It also has some great added ingredients to actually improve your overall skintone, and a high SPF.

I usually don’t wear foundations unless it’s a night time date or event which I will use heavier makeup and all the works. If it’s daytime and I wanna look presentable, I will use a moisturizer on then powder with SPF (Chanel).

Have you tried anything else by IT cosmetics? The person that did my makeup for my wedding used the foundation and I’m debating investing.

I prefer Korean BB creams for light coverage that matches my skin tone (fair and cool). My favorite brands are Missha and Skin79.

I also recommend IT cosmetics. I use their CC cream and pressed powder and love it. It’s just enough coverage but doesn’t feel heavy. I have sensitive skin, and I haven’t had any issues with any of their products.

Bare minerals complexion rescue is great for everyday medium coverage in that price range. Since Laura Mercier changed its holy grail tinted moisturizer formula, this has been my new favorite for summertime.
Hourglass illusion skin tint is pricier and pretty flawless. Has a great smoothing effect without drying my skin, I use this most other days.
If you have sensitive skin, Jane Iredale’s glow time BB cream has a beautiful supple finish.

For daily wear I use IT Cosmetics CC cream. I’m in between two shades so I mix and match a little but the two tubes last me damn near forever. Other than larger pores than I would like, I’m pretty happy with my skin and mostly use it for a light coverage base rather than to do any serious color correcting or cover-up, but you can get pretty decent coverage with it if needed.
They have come out with two formulas since I started using them, a matte and a radiant one, but I just use the original and haven’t looked back. I used to use the Clinique CC cream and really liked it. No real reason why I don’t use it anymore other than I seem to be brand loyal for a few years and then change up. I used Bare Minerals before that and also liked that.

I wasn’t a fan of IT cosmetics CC cream: It wasn’t flattering and irritated my skin. I also found it rather heavy and uncomfortable.
I would second the suggestion to consider Korean BB creams. If you’re looking only to correct some redness, Dr. Jart’s Cicapair treatment has good reviews. I’d also recommend First Aid Beauty tinted moisturizer and Kosa’s Tinted Face Oil.

I really like Laura Mercier Flawless Lumiere. It’s lightweight but with excellent coverage.

From someone who has tried DOZENS of foundations including many in the higher priced range, I don’t wear anything right now besides Covergirl 3 in 1. It’s medium coverage and i don’t get shiny wearing it, but it’s also not SUPER matte. I wanted so badly to like the IT Cosmetics CC cream, but for me I could always feel it on my skin, and it moved around a lot on me, almost like it never fully set. And I use Laura Mercier powder to set with.

Another IT CC Cream lover here! I have a whole host of others that I rotate but it seems I keep coming back to the IT CC. I love that it’s spf 50 with no telltale “white” of high spf and hydrates my skin well – even in extremely arid climate of the desert (with almost zero humidity).
