If you ended up being the same height at your Fiance in photos, that’d mean you had 7″ heels on and I think that would look ridiculous ๐Ÿ™‚ Being 2-3″ shorter than your Fiance is not a bad combo for wedding photos. If so, I’m screwed!

I don’t think that would be a problem!  Especially if they are your perfect shoes!  If you and Fiance are concerned you could bring a pair of flats for pictures just in case.

I personally will never have this problem…at 5 feet tall, I could wear the tallest shoes possible and still be shorter than my 5’9″ Fiance.  I guess it’s one of the few benefits of being short.

Keep in mind that if he’s wearing dress shoes they will give him some extra height as well. I don’t think you have a problem.

I don’t have this problem as I am 5’2 and Darling Husband is 6′ and I have never worn 10″ heels LOL!

However, do you mind pictures of yourself in heels next to your FI? Does your Fiance mind? If no one cares I would just go for it. Or if you are worried about it just go for a lower heel – they will probably be more comfortable anyway ๐Ÿ˜‰

I don’t think you will have a problem at all.  Can the two of you take a few pictures with you each wearing the shoes you’ll wear at the wedding to see how it looks?

As for me, I’m 5’4″ and my husband is 5’11” and I love high heels.  I like being almost able to look him in the eye!

I’m very concerned about height in my photos. He’s very very tall and I’m very very short. I don’t want our pics to look awkward so I’m planning on wearing 4″ heels.

I think anything from 1″ to 6″ is a good height for pictures. just don’t make your hair too tall!

I’m 5’5″ barefoot and my Fiance is 6’3″ barefoot. I am wearing 4″ heels which will put me at 5’9″ and figure my FI’s shoes will prob add 1/2-1 inch I guess. So our height difference will be 7.5-8 inches.

I’m 5’7 and Fiance is 6’0. In my ceremony heels I will be 5’9 and in my reception heels I will be 5’11. I actually prefer being closer in height to my Fiance so I don’t think you’ll have any issues if you’re wanting to wear high heels.

In my bare feet I am 5’5″ tall and my Filipino finace stands 5′ even – we are a cute couple and it looks fine in pictures.

I think you will be fine no matter what shoes you wear – I have seen pictures of taller/shorter all ways and it is the love and hope that shows in the pictures not hte height

I’m 5’1″, he’s 5’10”, and my shoes are about 4.5″…so we’ll be about 5″ different on the wedding day ๐Ÿ™‚

I think you’ll be fine! I’ve joked that I need to find stilts because I’m 5’4″ and he’s 6’5″, so even when I have 4″ heels on I look like a kid next to him. ๐Ÿ™‚

I think a 2″ difference looks good in pictures.

We had about a 2-3″ height difference when I had my heels on, which is pretty good in my opinion, but keep in mind that your photographers are probably clever enough to put the two of you in physical arrangements where you’ll look aesthetically good no matter what. We did a lot of our formal wedding portraits on stairs, and our photographers had my husband stand on the step above me to increase the appearance of our height difference.

I’m 5’4″ and Darling Husband is 6’6″, so, there is quite a bit of height difference.  He always giggles at our wedding picture above the fireplace.  I barely, barely reach his shoulder.  I would have worn heals on our wedding day, but it was icy/snowy and I didn’t want to risk a broken ankle. lol
