I’m mostly German with a little bit of Irish, English, Polish, and Dutch thrown in. I guess the Irish appearance skipped me…my great-grandmother, grandmother, and mother all have fair, freckled skin and I’m naturally olive-skinned.

Some of my ancestors were among the first to come to America from England. One of them was the reverend who baptized Pocahontas. ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m also related to the Ringling Brothers…no wonder why I’m a little nuts lol.

Born in the US! I am Swedish, English, and Native American. I look very, very Russian. Everyone who I ask to guess my heritage says Russian. And then they act ridiculously suprised that I am mostly Swedish. I think it’s my almost-black hair and very light skin haha

@lenabee

i was born in the united states and live here

my mom is brazilian, born and raised there: combination of native amazonian tribes, german, italian, a dash of african american

my dad: he was 60% irish with blue eyes. dash of native american, english

I look a lot like my dad. almost spot on. some people can tell im hispanic and other people dont think i should call myself latina.

princess sophia. she was going to be the first half hispanic princess. blue eyes and brown hair. people thought she wasnt hispanic enough. well shame on them cuz  she looks just like me.

i got blue eyes, dark brown hair in the winter but alburn in the summer. im 5’2 and curvy. i can get ghoustly white but can tan dark (ive only burned a few times in my life) . surprisingly even with my blue eyes people think im half native american here. thats the majority of the population so makes sense. Some people think i look like any other white girl and other times ill get complete strangers asking me what my background is. Most people say oh its your eyes but i got my eyes from my dad and they are totally irish eyes. Im loud and proud like a brazilian and love to laugh, talk (ramble like im doing now) and eat. simular to italians. ๐Ÿ˜‰

No idea!! Im a big mix of English, German, more German, possibly French, European, and, judging on my sisters completion, hair color, and eyes, Scandinavian.

My moms side has a lot of the German in it, but my dad was adopted and never wanted to learn about his birth parents prior to his death, so we have no idea what he was. We think this is where the Scandinavian heritage comes in as my sister looks a lot like him =)

Both Darling Husband and I are all German. Kind of unusual for as long as both our families have been here.

I am a total mutt, which I always knew, but I know even more so after some Ancestry.com research and a DNA test. LOL. My last name is Norwegian and my dad’s dad’s dad and mom came from Norway, so that was the most easly traceable part. According to the DNA, I am even more Scandanavian than I thought. Also in large part Irish and English. Some other European countries. And then some tiny amounts of other ethnicities altogether, which is pretty cool and mind boggling considering how freakishly pale I am. But absolutely no Native American, which my mother’s family had always insisted we were. Go figure.

@sjhanddab2014:  Was the ancestry.com DNA thing worth it?  I was thinking about getting that for my mom for her bday. lol
