@SamanthaSadlier: Thankyouthankyouthankyou!!! That to me is ideal. I hope my guy doesn’t do anything too out there. Well, we are both low key sort of people and I wouldn’t care if he did it over breakfast at some little diner we like to go her in Brooklyn.

um…we were sitting on the couch, he handed me a ring and said “Marry Me”. I was sick too. So my tears were also complimented with red eyes and a runny nose. But at that moment and even now I could care less how it went down. The most important part was that it happened.

well I know that no matter how or when it happens it will be meaningful and special because of the magnitude of what it actually is. Buuuuut as long as we are talking about Ideal scenarios I’ll share mine, my SO and I really enjoy horseback riding (he had never gone when he met me awww) and

I’ve always wanted to go on one of those weekend long trail rides where you camp out and just ride trails all day and I have been dreaming of being proposed to on just such an event since I was about 12! I don’t really see it happening because I could never tell the SO because then if we booked one and went

  1. i’d either be expecting a ring the whole time and wouldn’t be as suprised
  2. i’d be expecting a ring the whole time and wouldn’t get one and it would ruin the whole experience

Somewhere private and intimate. I was thinking either at our favourite restaurant, or home by him. Or maybe even on a vacation. I love him so much it really wouldn’t matter once I get to be his wife. (I’m in a really good waiting place right now!)

I agree with picturemeurs. . .private and intimate. . .at least in the sense of I do NOT want it on a bilboard, scoreboard, blimp, or at a party in front of friends and family, etc.  I’m a fairly private person.  It honestly doesn’t matter how or where so long as he proposes!  Lol.

I’m confident that I will be happy with his proposal idea, but I have a few dream scenarios:

I’ve always wanted to ride in one of the horse drawn carriages and it would be really romantic if he proposed during a night ride in the historic district.

We could go up to the very top of the tallest building here and he can propose to me overlooking the city.

Or…After dinner at my favorite park.

I think all of these scenarios involve being a nice spring or fall night.

I don’t have particular way I would like it done. I would like it to be tonight since it is my birthday. But I think that is just wishful thinking.

My ideal proposal scenario… him on one knee with a ring. I have been been daiting him for 5 years and I have been officially waiting for 2 years so by now I don’t care if it happens in Home Depot in the plumbing isle. As long as I get to be his fiance/ future wife I will be happy!

ooo Ive been thinking about this alot!

I graduate from Uni tomorrow and it would be so awesome if he did there! Or just after or when we go out for dinner to celebrate on Saturday night.

I am sure that he would want to make it special but at this point Im really not fussed.  I want an e-party before Christmas but that door is closing pretty fast!

We have a new puppy so I keep imagining finding a ring or ring box tied to his collar! lol

I agree with some of the other women on the board… At this point, I don’t care how it’s done. Just get it done. However, if I had to choose…

I’d like him to involve my two cats Lily and Raven somehow. Not sure what he’d do, but my cats are my children and I love them to death! They have such great and cute personalities… Lily is such a girl (loves my shoes, hair accessories, etc. And Raven is such a boy… Always lazing around, sits with his legs open… too cute).

Anyhoo, back to the topic of conversation… AND B/F, IF YOU’RE READING THIS TAKE SOME HINTS!!

I also think it would be nice if he had pizza involved. It’s my favorite food and I can eat ridiculous amounts of cheese.

Another idea would be… On Hallowe’en. I love Hallowe’en more than X-Mas and he knows it. So it would be adorable if he carved pumpkins that said “Will you marry me?” or something Hallowe’en related.

A long time ago (beginning of our relationship) he mentioned about how he’d propose in front of my whole family. But now that I know him better (and he knows my family better) he probably won’t. My family can be very dramatic at times and I think he’d want the moment to be between the two of us without my mom screaming and crying in the background, lol.

Navy Pier, my family, friends, and his family mixed in the crowds while he proposed and a hidden photographer to capture the entire thing.

Ha, I’m probably setting the bar a little too high, but a girl can dream, right?:)
