Ours will be “Don’t Stop Believing” (Journey). It’s nostalgic for both my Fiance and I and many of our guests who were in college at the same time we were!

Ours was Aerosmith’s “I don’t want to miss a thing”.  Everyone got into a big circle, we had our arms on the person’s next to us shoulders and swayed and sang every word of the song on top of our lungs.  It was awesome!

I like both of those options! Ours was Time Of My Life from Dirty Dancing.  (Well actually it ended up being Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud because my Mother-In-Law requested it and insisted it be played, and the DJ forgot to play it earlier… Not the biggest fan of that song but hey it made the reception and dancing last longer, so it’s all good haha!).

We’re doing Semisonic’s Closing Time. FI’s fraternity played this at every party as they began to usher people out and we thought it would be fun to do the same at our wedding.

We are also going to do Semisonic’s “Closing Time.” My favorite theatre professor would always say, “You don’t have to go home, but you can’t stay here!” at the end of rehearsal. Every. Single. Time. So since a lot of my college friends will be at the wedding, I wanted to use it. Plus, it’s just a great last song.

Ours was ‘White wedding’ – Billy Idol. Everyone sang and danced along and shouted out for more – it was awesome.

We did Turn Down for What by Lil Jon. Oh my goodness, we called our crowd right with that one. I have the best video of my brother and I getting down while surrounded by Darling Husband and all of my friends. It was so crazy on the floor. We did a slow song just before it, where hubby and I were alone on the floor. If we had ended with that song, we would have been alone! If you have more couples, a slow song might work well.

That being said, I also really like the idea of We Are Young by Fun. It should be the right genre for your crowd, something upbeat to end the party on a great note 🙂
