@mepayne:  I don’t like that one either.

Marquise is my least favorite stone shape.

I love most rings, but thinking in terms of order of preference, I probably prefer round diamonds the least, and don’t want yellow gold for myself.

Personally, I LOVE ALL that glitters & sparkles (Diamonds are my best friends)

BUT, if I had to choose…

I can’t say I am a fan of Bezel Settings.

Nor this time round, did I want a Solitaire… but that is strictly because my first E-Ring was a Solitaire, and I am purposefully trying to do things differently for this Marriage.

PS… Isn’t it great that there is more than just one style of ring in the world.  Actually since I’ve joined WBee, I’ve been quite amazed at how many different rings I’ve seen pictures of posted on this Website.  And to-date, I still haven’t seen a ring-twin for my own.

@MrsOliveBird:  I also love bezels and marquise rings! More for us, I guess. =)

@MrsOliveBird:  I love marquise diamonds, too! They’re my second favorite, third is pear. I told Fiance I’d be excited to get a marquise solitaire, but he ended up using them as accent stones with my round center stone instead!

My least favorites are marquise (unless they are set horizontally) and the heart shaped diamonds.

I LOVE princess cut (and have one), but now I also love round, oval, pear, and emerald, probably just from browsing here and on pricescope.  I’m sort of neutral on radiant and asscher and I only like baquettes if they are accents stones.

Oh, and as for metals, I was super against yellow gold, ever since high school which is when I wore nothing but yellow gold, but now, I really like it, especially if it is a vintage setting, and rose gold is super pretty too.

I am not a fan of oval, trilliant, heart or marquise cut stones. Setting wise, I don’t like really really high settings unless the ring is massive and has a lot of diamond/metal underneath the setting to ‘bulk’ it out. Filigree isn’t my style either, but some filigree rings are gorgeous I will admit.

Anything with a very thin band and huge stone. Looks like it’s going to break…

I know so many people love solitaires but I just don’t like them, a little to simple for me maybe.  But I have seen some very beautiful ones on this site, just not for me 🙂

I don’t have a “least favorite” but I am against pointy, stabby, or sticking up high.  I’m all about comfort and wearing it forever, all the time (minus live electricity/while soldering/etc).

Personally, I thought I didn’t like marquise at all, the only cut I “knew” I didn’t like. After hunting I didn’t think I’d like pear or triangle either (pointy/stabby lol).  I think they are all pretty, just not for me.

THEN we were gifted a marquise, I could do anything I wanted with it, came in a ring with plenty of gold to recast the setting.  Found some really neat east-west/horizontal/sideways settings-how many namess can you call one setting direction?!  Oh and there’s another name for marquise too, starts with an navette? I think.  Google searching was H***.  We ended up with a simple custom sideways design (with a couple pics as guides for parts) and I love it.  Who knew?!

I’m not keen on bezel settings because I feel like they take away from the stone.
