My train, our ceremony (a very carefully designed interfaith ceremony), and our colors. Oh, and the venue. Bass Hall is a MAJOR fine arts music hall that nobody knows you can actually have weddings in! No picture will ever do the beauty of this building justice either.

My train (you can see the lace detail a little better in the second picture. In person, the lace also sparkled)

And just to show off how long it is (because I am crazy proud of the $99 dress with a 10 ft train!)

You can see the colors in these pictures pretty well. Blueish teal and Royal Purple

My dress… particularly my sleeves people went crazy about the sleeves (but they kept sliding down all day.)

Our Jenga guestbook since nobody had ever seen it before. Every single guest left us a note.

Our table numbers/ ISpy, everyone I mean everyone LOVED the table numbers. So much so that none were left at the end of the reception, the guest took all of them home! One of them sits on my grandmas living room (which is weird because why would you want to display a picture with a big number on top) The I Spy was a big hit, people got really involved and competetive about getting the pictures. It was alot of fun!

and the decorations and atmosphere of the wedding. The family members at least from my side (which made up 60% of attendees)  actually stated that it was the best wedding the had ever been too. The reason for this (in their point of view) was the small size (100 invited, 71 attended), all the attendees new each other at least by name or reference, having a morning wedding made for a more personal informal gathering which they really enjoyed.

I had a cultural wedding and there are lots of stereotypes that come with that. Most people complimented the fact that the wedding was so organized which is very different from most African weddings.

Besides that, people really complimented the food.
