Just wondering what everyone who is doing the old/new/borrowed/blue thing is useing as thing “new” thing? I’m getting married on Saturday and I have several items that are new that could be my “new” thing but I can’t decide what to use officially for a photo that I want to take of the items. My old item is an ivory pendant that belonged to my great grandmother, my blue thing is underwear, and my borrowed thing will be a barette from my sister.

My shoes! IDK if I’m actually trying to do the thing but that’s definitely what I’d use. If your shoes are new they’d probably fit nicely with the scale of your other items.

My mom was kind enough to buy me diamond jewelry to match my wedding set. I hardly ever wear it now though….it’s too fancy for me!

unfortunately my shoes are not new, I’m going with tried and true comfortable boots, I really struggle to find footwear than doesn’t make my feet hurt. My “veil” is new (its a hair clip I added lace ribbon to), my bra for under my dress is new, my bolero is new……maybe I’ll use the bolero, it was a gift from my one Maid/Matron of Honor

I am far too lazy to hunt something out – the dress was new, the petticoat, the shoes and the wedding band. New is the easiest one of them all!

lmfao I didn’t even think of the wedding band

I’m not have a picture of the something’s, so I just considered all the new things my “new” thing (dress, veil, shoes). If I were you, I’d go with the veil as it feels more “thing”-y (because it’s an accessory) than a dress, for instance. Plus, i think it will work best in your thing-pic.
ETA: I wouldn’t count the wedding band since your “things” are supposed to be things you wear down the aisle – and you’re not wearing your wedding band yet!

My perfume! DH bought it for my bday 6 months prior to our wedding, I put it away and didn’t wear it until our wedding day. Now DH refers to it as “wedding smells” lol.
